In the past I have bought a lot of fishing rods that didn't have hook keepers on them. These are easy to put on and wrap thread and make them look like they are part of the rod. They are big enough to take a 10/0 King Kahle hook.
If your rod doesn't have them, you need these. They require only a little prep with some emory paper, so they lay up well on the blank and then wrapping them is a breeze. I added them to all my casting and spinning rods.
Just what I was looking for. A little thread and some finger nail polish and now all my rods have hook holders. Simple, look good and no more hooks putting nicks in the guides.
