Comfortable and Easy

I purchased this sleeping pad as I was going on an upcoming bicycle/camping trip through a Midwest state. When I looked at the samples in the store I picked this one as it was one of the thicker sleeping pads. I have used other self-inflating sleeping pads that were thinner and less expensive, but still felt the ground through them. This pad was great. It was very easy to just loosen the knobs, and let it self-inflate. No pumps, no blowing into the pad needed, and it held the inflation until the next morning when I packed it away. The straps that hold the rolled up pad are great. They are easy to store in the little pocket of the carrying sack, and help to keep the pad rolled up when putting it away in the sack. The only draw-back (if you can call it that) would be the size. It does take up a large amount of space, about the size of an 8 person dome tent. It wasn't much of a problem for me since our support vehicle has plenty of space, but it could be an issue if space is limited. I will give up some space for the extra comfort of the pad :)

Great Pad and well worth price

Used pad on my cot in camp on an elk hunt in Wyoming this last Sept. The Pad worked great allowing me to get a good's night sleep on the week long hunt. Pads I have used in past, foam and self inflating, have never provided the comfort of this pad.
As a camp pad, it is well worth the money I invested, though it is way to bulky to be used for a pack trip hunt even when rolled up into the bag provided. The straps / bindings provided to repackage the pad are a waste of material and would like to see a better straps, especially concerning the cost of this pad.

very nice

I have only be able to use mine once, but it was a pleasant experience. I am 6' - 2" and about 250 and had no trouble since the pad is extra wide & thick.

Disappointed in Reliability

When this Pad was new it worked great. It lasted through about two seasons of hunting. I have purchased two of these and both have broken seems and developed holes. For the price, these just aren't worth the value. I love Cabela's gear and use many items, this one was disappointing twice.
