Cabela's Warthog Two-Person Tent Review:

motorcycle camping

I purchased this 2-man version of the highly rated XPG Warthog based on the following: Quality- The industry ratings of fabric materials and poles used along with YKK zippers. Design- Features like two doors, full coverage fly, built in prop open vents in fly, clear window in fly, dual vestibules, aluminum poles, clips in place of loops to attach tent to poles, simple free standing shape with only 3 poles. Pack Size- At 6x19 inches this is within an inch of the smallest diameter and 1-1/2 inches of the shortest length of any 2-man size tent I could find. I camp on motorcycle trips and need a small pack size tent that can stand weather like high wind and rain, keep me and my gear dry and warm yet still provide enough ventilation and shade for hot summer camping. From my initial research on this tent I'm hoping it will meet all my needs and be quick and easy to set up and tear down by myself, small enough when packed to fit inside my saddle bags yet large enough when set up to not be cramped when changing cloths.
