Took me three years to find this tent!

Folks, after my Brother and I gave up backpacking during our Elk Muzzle Loading in Colorado, ( we are both 50+ and it's alillte much to pack out 100lb packs with meat) I have been looking for a tent that will take the weather at 12,000 feet and not blink. For the 2 previous seasons.....we had 2 different new tents that leaked a lot of water inside.....I finally decided to go with the best. This tent took the rain, snow, sleet, wind and hail for 2 full grown men and didn't let an ounce of water inside......we put 2 cots and all our gear inside. could have put one more cot or 2 sleeping bags in too. COULD NOT BE MORE PLEASED. If you need a dry home for ATV hunting that'll take the elements, this is your one.

Bungy Rope in Tent pole ripped

I feel I overpaid for this tent. After just three uses (5 nights total) the bungy rope in the pole ripped. Now I am in a crunch to repair before my next camping trip. I bragged for days about my new tent to my friends, but then they laughed at me when it broke. Now the positives are the rain fly. It covers every inch which keeps the rain out, but in exchange allows for very little ventilation. The tent allows three adults to stand up right in the tent. It also has plenty of room after i set up my air queen air mattress. It can be tight with two cots. Which my wife and i tried once, but the cots are either too big or the tent is too small. Hope this helps.

Almost a great tent

It had everything I wanted, heavy poles, nice vestibule, stood up to the wind, good gear pockets, and fit two queen mattresses (albiet barely). But, the floor is made from the same stuff as the walls. It was wearing thin after a weekend trip. I sent it back. Thanks Cabelas for accepting it, as always. If you want his tent, be sure to bring a tarp to throw down below the tent. It costs more, but I think I am going to the Alaskan Guide geodesic dome tent.

Door zippers gave out in 3rd season

I loved the spaciousness of the dome tent and it stayed very dry. It also weathered windy storms like a champ. Unfortunately both door zippers started separating this past season and it's useless. I got a lot of use out of it, but I think the zippers gave out because of the taut design. For that reason, I won't buy another dome design tent.
