Great in heavy Surf

After 7 trips, this is the best 15' surf rod for here in East Florida. In heavy surf, it bait casts freespool, 80/90 yds. into the wind with a 5 oz. lead spider. The fast tip allows good distance casting on 1-2 oz. as well. The tip reacts well on a bite and handles 3-5 lb. Blues. The smaller butt allows smaller dia. PVC rod holders, 5' long to get the line further above breaking waves & weeds. Waiting to try distance casting on the mid Winter Pompano bite in Daytona & South. I will order 1 to 2 more when on sale.

Tough n Nuff

Paired with a salt striker ss80 30lbs trilene big game first fish was a 20lb blue cat in heavy current.Handled it with ease.Plenty of back bone with the sensitivity to feel the slitest nibble.Casting this 12 footer is a breeze.Another fine product from cabelas.Getting 2 more.
