Cabela's Whuppin' Stick Spinning Combo -
Time to lay a whuppin’ on the fish with a combo that is ready for the task. Combo reel has a five-bearing system (4+1), a graphite-frame rotor, aluminum spool, instant anti-reverse, one-touch fold-down handle and convertible retrieve.
Whuppin’ Stick rods have become a customer favorite for their nearly indestructible, advanced polymer fiberglass blanks. Back when we first introduced these rods, we knew they would make a splash, but we had no idea they’d create such a tidal wave. We’ve updated the series with a sleek new look. Graphite reel seats securely lock your reel in place without adding significant weight to the rod. Blank-through-handle construction makes it easy to feel even the light biters. The stainless steel frame guides with ceramic inserts will stand up to the toughest fish. Cork grips ensure all-day comfort.

Nice Rod

While I didn't enjoy the reel too much, it was functional enough to get me started. Switched it out for a Shimano and this Whuppin' Stick has lasted quite a few years so far!
Brought it tons of trout, pickerel, hefty bass and some MASSIVE catfish I was sure would break it. So far so good! Definitely worth the money!!
Happy Fishing!

All around pole

Used it on Lake Erie for perchin' and some rock bass. the m/h action is a little stiff for me, but then again im used to fishing with ultralights. When I felt a big hit, reeling up a 10-12 pound walleye was no problem for the reel or pole. I have about 90-100 yards of 8lb test on it.

Love this pole, it has the sensitivity feel perch biting at 48 feet of water and the durability hold up to bring up walleye to at the same time, i may switch all my poles over to these....

Best all around

I have a total of five whoopin sticks from the crappie poles to catfish poles. I have had a tip come off of one pole but Cabela's replaced it right away with no hassle
