Worth the money
Ive only had it for a couple months but I used it during bow season, in the cold rain of gun season and today when it was 6 degrees without the windchill ice fishing. Only thing Ive ever worn under it was a thin long sleeved shirt and Ive never been cold or wet in it. Dont understand the negative reviews about hand warmer pocket placement. Unzip the coat and put the hand warmers in the pockets and sit back and be warm. Maybe there not the most convenient to put your hands in but there not meant to keep your hands in. The only negative I have and its minor is the placement of the draw ties on the hood land in the middle of your cheeks and tend to be less than comfortable but today when it was 6 degrees out and everyone else was cold I had that hood drawn tight and drawstrings on my cheeks never crossed my mind. Overall best coat Ive ever owned and I would and have recommended it highly. You WILL be warm, dry and comfortable.
Could use a couple improvements
I bought this coat after purchasing the pants. I read other reviews on this first then decided to buy. Overall it is a great coat. I used it this past Deer season here in upstate NY. It was warm and shielded me well from the cold.
Now what I don't like. First the zipper needs improvement. The metal type with the fine "teeth" don't always line up when stating to zip the coat. This caused me issues the very first time I used it when putting it on in the dark. It also happened on several other occasions. Other reviewers of this product stated they had the same issues as well. The coarser plastic toothed zipper I think would be better suited on this product.
Secondly, the slash hand warmer pockets are a little too high. If they were lower, they would be ok.
Hopefully this input will be taken as this is a good product and would be a great product with the noted issues addressed. I'm glad I finally spent the money to get a much warmer garment for when it is extremely cold.

Stayed warm
I received the jacket after hunting season so I had to try it out when the temperature went to minus 23 degrees in upstate New York. I was warm and can not wait until my long tree stand watches when I will finally be warm. I have put a bib pair of pants on the Cabela's wish list.
Zipper Issue
Very good quality except the main zipper. The double zipper splits when zipping up. For the price of this item I would expect the highest quality zipper available but this is one you see on cheaper made jackets.
