Caframo Ecofan Ultrair Heat-Powered Stove Fan -
Increase the efficiency of your wood, pellet or gas stove with a heat-powered fan – one that circulates warm air without an external power source. This super-efficient fan uses thermoelectric technology to convert a temperature difference into electricity. At the center of the Ecofan is a unique thermoelectric module. The patented design creates a hot side and a cold side to the module. When this occurs, a principle called the "Seebeck Effect" causes electrons to flow within the module and electricity is generated. Designed for use on EPA stoves, it delivers a 14% cost savings and reduces emissions by allowing you to burn less fuel. High-efficiency blade operates in silence and speeds up as the stove’s temperature rises. Circulate up to 105 cubic feet of warm air per minute. 150°F to 650°F temperature range. No assembly required.
3”L x 5”W x 9”H.

Helps extend wood purchases

I don't understand how the fan works. It does though. Heat is spread more evenly and I'm using less wood. It's also a good conversation piece. Follow directions on placement and it works a lot better.

Nice product

I purchased this on a recommendation of a friend in Ontario, Increases the warm air circulation thru the house quietly. We bought 2 more as gifts which are greatly appreciated.

nice idea for the right stove

The fan is activated by the heat of the stove. My coal stove did not put out enough heat to make the fan turn fast enough to benefit from it. Fan was smaller than I was expecting. Overall, I think it’s a great idea, although I had to return mine.
