Highly Recommended

This is a great 12V fan, lightweight and finger friendly. It comes with a suction cup mount and a fixed mount and can be adjusted on both the horiztontal and vertical axis.

I tried this out overnight and found the 2 speed fan function great. Full speed to cool down (quite noisy) and then the slower speed at night.

If you do wake up and accidentally hit the blades you'll get a fright but you won't cut anything!

Highly recommended

Minimun useage but appaers to work well

Have only used the fan once as a defroster for the boat windshield. All worked well. I did NOT use the suction cup so will not comment on that but all else works well.
It is not pushing a great amount of air but for my intended use it is working well as it is quiet and moves just about the correct amount on air to keep the fog at bay.

Good fan, suction cup is worthless

The fan output is acceptable, and the noise is minimal. Suction cup base does not work, causing the fan to be easily knocked over. When it falls over the motor continues to turn inside the fan hub liquifying the plastic, but put it back together quickly and the plastic hardens around the spindle, and all is well again. Best to use permanent mount. I would recommend with caveats.

Good units but...

Have 6 of these onboard, great fans, but the new ones come with a suction cup that is much too stiff to use. The older ones had a great suction cup (black) that would hold on any smooth surface. If you use the included permanent mount or optional clamps then fine but the new suction mounts are useless

Absolutely awesome little ...

Absolutely awesome little fan that kicks butt even in the Texas heat. Also has finger safe blades which have been very successfully tested by my 3 and 1 year old children. I tried all of the other listed fans and liked this one best so we bought 3 for our sailboat cabin.

I keep this fan pluged in ...

I keep this fan pluged in near the helm just to keep air moving. Due to the low power draw there is no wory about drain on the batteries. The fan came with a suction cup base and a screw down base so you have a choice of mounts.

great fan not a waist of money

Works real well, they do double dutie as defrosters on my windshild, and cool in the summer and work just like I had hoped for. Its real nice having the switch on the motor, and a two speed as well.

A must have for summer boating

Suction base allows it to be placed most anywhere in the cabin. It also comes with a fixed mount but, even then it can be rotated as needed.

spare

Quality looks good - bought as a spare part.
Fan is working ok so the review may need to be months/years down the road.
Appears to be good.

Really handy moveable fans

You can move these things around wherever you need some breeze. They either stick on with their suction base or you can just use it as a stand.

Negative Reviews:

dreadfully bad design

I'm shocked that people like this dangerous fan. Who could have designed an open blade fan with an off switch in the rear ? Try shutting it off in the dark. Or change speed. Two thumbs down

Brand new fan with an unbalanced blade!

For all the time that Caframo has been making these fans, you would think that they would have their quality under control. Yet the brand new fan I bought has an unbalanced blade with the attendant shakes and rattles.\

OTOH, I do like the new fixed mounting system better.
