Decent

Bought this product so I didn't have to crawl around on the ground at the range picking up brass, which this product accomplishes, but not to it's full advertised potential. With my experience anything over 20 rounds made the unit sag a bit and I started experiencing rounds hitting the metal wire when ejecting, causing a jam. Once I started emptying the bag after 20 rounds I didn't have this issue anymore. Overall, its a good product that does what you need. You get what you pay for though.

Might work fine, unless...

Might work fine, unless you have a quad rail with anything such as optics, buis, light mount, grip, etc. mounted to it! I don't really want to take all of my accessories off just to catch the brass, in fact I kind of like shooting the gun with all of those things attached, which is why I have them mounted there in the first place. Find something else, unless you shoot a plain-jane AR with nothing but a handrail.

Delivered more hassle than brass

Good concept with poor execution. Front only strap does not provide secure fit or alignment to consistently catch the brass. When you open zipper to release brass you need to realign (re-strap) the bag. They need to go back to drawing board on this one.

Simple solution to lost brass

I have been using this product for several years now. The design is decent, and very simple. This is an excellent lightweight, small brass catcher for varmint hunting or short trips to the range. As noted in previous reviews, ensure that the velcro attachment is very, very tight, and that you dont let more than 20-30 rounds accumulate in it before emptying it. I use it on two different rifles, one with a railed foreguard and a smooth round one. I have found it works well on both if you hook the back end over the brass deflector and get the velcro tight. If I shoot from one location I will usually leave it unzipped, which dumps all rounds next to the gun in a neat little pile. The issues i have with the product are that if the brass is particularly hot or has a burr on it, it tends to catch on the synthetic mesh and must be manually pulled out, but this doesnt interfere with the operation of the rifle. Also, if it is loose or otherwise interferes with ejection, it tends to cause a stovepipe style jam, which can be corrected fairly quickly without removing the product. You get what you pay for, and for the price, it is as good as you are going to get. I would buy it again, and will probably pick up another for my second rifle.
