Caldwell Magnum Deadshot Fieldpod Tripod Reviews:

Best Purchase this Year

This Fall I purchased the Magnum Fieldpod in anticipation of the upcoming Deer season. I am happy to report that I killed my deer at 250 yards with it and my 7mm mag. I really like how I can use this product either sitting or standing. In the woods I can set it up with a nice chair and sit there all day. Other times I can have it set up on my deck so I can target practice or take a long shot at some varmints. It's a little heavy to tote around all day for an old guy, but I particularly like the stability and smooth range of motion it gives me every time I use it. The only thing better would be if it had a carry bag included. My wife made we one though so now I have nothing to complain about.

Hands down does the job

It is heavy but that means it is also substantial. It is rock solid. I bought a Remington 22-250 and mounted a night vision scope for coyote hunting. That makes for a very heavy unit. With it's long barrel and the scope I needed something to help steady my shot. I then tried it with my Barnett Ghost 410 crossbow as well as my 30-06 deer rifle. It makes a world of difference not to have to hold my weapon at the ready for long periods of time. And there is less opportunity to spook your target while preparing for a shot. It is easy to set up and to me has been an excellent addition to my gear.
