CamelBak Groove Insulated Filter Water Bottle - 20 fl. oz. -

The CamelBak Groove™ Insulated Filter bottle turns potable tap water into great-tasting water and keeps it cool so you can enjoy it at home, in the office or on the go.

  • Double-wall construction keeps water cool and reduces condensation on the outside of the bottle

  • Simply fill the bottle with tap water, screw the cap on and start sipping; the integrated plant-based carbon filter reduces chlorine taste and odors found in tap water
  • Bite valve has an articulating stem, so when not in use it folds down next to the bottle and stays clean

Weather and Wind:

  • Tritan copolyester provides excellent impact resistance and is suitable for both warm and cold beverages

  • Made of Eastman Tritan™ copolyester, the bottle is completely BPA-free and is dishwasher safe (do not put filter in the dishwasher)

  • CamelBak Groove Filter bottle should be used to improve the taste of safe water sources only; filter does not remove viruses, bacteria or protozoa from water
  • Filter lasts for about 3 mos. or 48 gal. of water and is an easy way to enjoy tap water rather than purchasing disposable bottles of water
  • Just bite the Big Bite™ valve and sip and the water starts flowing—you don't even need to tip the bottle to drink
  • Carry the integrated handle in the crook of a finger, or connect it to a pack or waistbelt with a small carabiner, sold separately

Just about perfect

To me it's the best bottle camelback sells because it gives a combo of decent but not awe inspiring capacity and insulation. Along with a worthwhile filter (replacement is 5 bucks) and solid design.

I mostly use it when I need a extra bottle on my bike in addition to my platy it gives me a fill up on city water sources option, which is great.

Cons it's a jack of all trades not to heavy not to light ok filter ok insulation ok capacity. Durable so far but a bit stiff in and out of my bike cage.

Great bottle over all tho I just rated it a 4 to point out the down sides I like it better than any other bottle I've seen at rei, unless your going for the 100 dollar I'm solar powered and shoot uva beams bottle that thing is pretty sweet...not as cool looking tho. ^_^

Great bottle

I grew up in Portland Oregon where we have the best tasting mountain water around, but I moved to a smaller outlying city to attend school where they use a strong mineral tasting well water. I bought this bottle so that I could fill up from the tap anywhere. The filtering works great, and the filter lasts longer than they say they will. I've had mine for about 4 months now and my water still tastes great. The only downside is the small capacity (since it's insulated), and that after a while the mouthpiece doesn't close all the way. This is the third camelbak i've had and after a while, the mouthpiece doesn't click back down all the way; this is only an issue if the water bottle is full and is laid on it's side, even then it still rarely leaks.

Quiet and clean

I am a massage therapist at the Austin Airport and even though we don't have control over noise in our eclectic space, it is a plus that this water bottle doesn't gurgle or make noise when you use it. Also, I drink the water out of the public fountains and it was starting to taste nasty, so this filter makes it taste good cuz I drink ALOT of water throughout my shift. Thank you Camelbk! I wish they sold these within the airport cuz I would encourage folks to buy these and drink more water!!!

My Afghanistan Whoobie!

Best thing I bought for my deployment... I had clean water to/from and while in the AOR. The lid is perfect for clamping on to your backpack. I had it on me everyday! And you really can taste the difference in the water!

Very useful

This will save you money while on trips through the airport or at the zoo. I filled up with tap water and it will stay cold for several hours. It works so good I had to buy my wife one.

Great for people on the go

I am constantly driving to new locations for my job. This keeps me hydrated in the car with good tasting water no matter where I am.

Not bad, could use improvement

I use this bottle everyday and so far it has worked ok. Before I used a 1L Eddy and it had great capacity but was not insulated so it sweated all over my work area and lost its cool after about 2 hours. This bottle is just over half that capacity so I have to refill it atleast 2-3 times throughout the day, although the filter feature is nice to have. The biggest problem I have had though is that the bottle still sweats no different than my un-insulated bottles. It does retain the cool a little longer (4 hours) but insulated bottles should not sweat like uninsulated bottles, isn't that the point of the inner section and outer section?

Fliter works / insulation doesn't

I purchased this to avoid using disposable plastic bottles. The filter seems to do a decent job improving the taste of tap water. Unfortunately it doesn't keep water cold very long. The old CamelBak hydration system with the plastic bladder with a special cloth liner works much better.
