CamelBak HydroBak 50 oz. Hydration Backpack-RacingRed/Graph Reviews:

Positive Reviews:

I used this pack for a 6 hour adventure race and it worked out well. I had to refill it once. The pack feels pretty light even when filled. This pack is definitely better than having to haul around bottles of water. The pack keeps the water fairly cool but eventually body heat will make whatever drink is in the pack lukewarm but its better than being thirsty. The storage area will fit an average size cell phone and maybe 5 car keys - so its kind of small. I was able to store a couple of granola bars in the compartment where the water pack is for a little additional space. This pack did not come with the strap that clips across your chest (which makes it easier to drink from). For exercise that may exceed 3 hours or so - I would definitely look at the larger packs of 70oz-100oz.

I used to make fun of people I saw running with these things on. In all honesty they are silly looking. But for long runs they are a life saver. It takes about two minutes of being on my back before I forget it is there. It is much better than carrying a bottle, and holds about four times as much. It supplies enough water for fifteen miles on a hot day. There is a little pocket on the back that can fit your keys and an ipod, which I prefer to having my ipod strapped to my arm. The pocket is not good for gels or anything that you want to access without having to stop and take the pack off. I think the greatest benefit of Camelbaks is the freedom of not have to plan runs around water breaks. For the price, I really can't recommend the HydroBak enough.

I have used this for several long runs now(14-17 miles). It's really easy to fill up, and to drink from. My only complaint is that the storage pocket is way too small. I was hoping to be able to store my wallet and/or phone but I can barely fit my keys in it. I believe the larger Camelbaks come with bigger pockets; something to keep in mind if that is important to you.

this camelbak its a really good choice for short trips on MTB, the weight and the capacity is just perfect for our short ride in the montains (10km - 15km)

AMAZING! Has enough storage space for a credit card, or camera. Comfortable to wear, and stores more water than I need in a year.

Negative Reviews:

This is not a good hydration pak for runners. There is no waist band or sturnum strap, so the pack bounces around a lot as you run. If you are a runner, any pack you wear should fit snug so it hugs your back and does not bounce.
