CamelBak Big Bite Valve Mouthpiece

Good water flow BUT don't depend on it to keep water in when the pack is horizontal or wrong side up - always install an open/closed inline valve - I lost most of my water through the valve on the way to a VERY isolated site. Camelbak sells these valves for about $6 dollars or so - they work very well.

Your bite piece works great. I love it and use it everyday. My first one died after my nephew chewed on it. He saw me get drinks from it and thought it would be fun. But he couldn't figure out how to make the water come out because the valve was closed. So, he just kept chewing on it thinking sooner or later he will break though.

If there's a better/easier bite valve to use, I've not come across it! I particularly enjoy the version with the shut off (just in case) but the ease of use of this bite valve is tremendous. My best friend has had extensive dental work done and no other valve works for her at all. Makes something easy even easier!

I haven't used this one yet (it's a spare) But the Original Big Bite Valve that came with my Bladder works great. It leaks barely a drop ever.

Clean, convenient, delicious.

Seems to make clearing a frozen hose a little easier. I have found that keeping hydrated helps me stay warmer, as well feel a little better they day after a hard workout. This bite valve makes hydrating easier.

If you own a camelback bladder (if you don't you should) this is what you suck water through. It seems like mice like them too which is why I needed to buy a replacement.

As usual Camelbak products perform exceptionally well in the field. Just a word of caution when replacing the mouthpiece. The water slit does not go completely through. It is just scored. After you attach the mouthpiece, pinch the scoreline several times between your fingers until it breaks completely through. If you attempt to cut the slit with a knife or razor blade you may ruin the mouthpiece.
