This bag is really great!

| I bought this bag a few months ago to replace the older version of the same model. Actually, I had first bought another bag from a different brand to replace the first CamelBak H.A.W.G., and that's when I realized nothing really compares to a CamelBak, so I bought this one and haven't looked back. This is a really great bag! I don't know why I like it so much -- I typically don't care about material things and whatnot, but this bag just has a certain essence about it. I like everything about it, and overall it's a great combination of comfort, features and style coming together very well. I bought the teak/gray green color combo, and it is very nice to look at, aesthetically-speaking. The bag also fits very well and seems to carry its own weight, as a full bag (including 100oz. of water and an additional full Nalgene) is not cumbersome or weighty once properly adjusted. And it stays secure and does not bounce around like crazy when I jog with it on! That's great! The back padding and ventilation are also great, and my back is not sore at all after wearing this for hours at a time on challenging hikes. It also has a great hide-away rain cover that kept the bag and its contents perfectly dry in an unexpected downpour a couple months ago! The only aspect of the bag I originally thought I had to "settle" for was its not having any mesh side pockets to hold an extra Nalgene, and the side pockets it does have are not big enough for one either. That concern has fallen to the wayside, however, as the bag provides plenty of room in any number of its pockets for this purpose. That's about it! I'll say it again: This bag is really great! | |

Great for any outdoor activity

| I use this pack primarily for riding my road bike to work, but have also used it for snowboarding and day hiking. It works great!! I had the older version of the H.A.W.G., and my only complaint was that it wasn't big enough for everything plus a change of clothes. The new NV model compensates perfectly, and has a much more efficient and practical design for the pockets and straps. Also, this model comes with a rain cover built into the base which is great for when the weather turns wet while I'm at work. The extra zipper pocket has little organizing sections inside for my tools and blinkers. The side pockets are great for a cliff bar or whatever you want. There are also places to clip tail-light blinkers on to the back of the bag for riding in the dark. The other thing I LOVE about the hawg (and NV) is that if I take the water bladder out of it's special pocket, my laptop fits perfectly snug and padded close to my back. Thank you Camelback for this wonderful improvement of the old model. | |

Great Daypack | |

| I use this pack for hiking, mountain biking, and snowshoeing. What I like about it is that variety of pockets and compartments to store gear/supplies in an organized and customizable manner. The two smaller pockets on the sides are great for storing tools like tire levers, patch kit, hand warmers etc. The big storage area I've been able to store an extra pair of shorts, t-shirt, and smart wool socks along with a digital camera, binoculars, a gps device, and a bottle of gatorade without it being crammed full. The other pocket I can store stuff like a small first aide kit, headlamp, and some odds and ends. There's a small pocket for an mp3 player up top that is perfect for putting your car keys/cell phone in. The pack is durable and easy to adjust. The water resvoir works well and I've had no issues with it leaking from the seams like some cheaper brands I've owned in the past. Well worth the money. | |

| Bought this for my soon to be ex . . he loved it. Very comfortable and sits perfectly on his back. New back design helped with airflow to keep him cool. Much room in pack for day hike supplies as well as 100oz water capacity . . . much easier than carrying bottled water and accessibility to water made staying hydrated much easier. Would recommend. | |

| I use this bag for everything. I even sleep with this bag. It fits a lot of things, doesn't get too bulky and looks great. Water stays cool and the 3 liter hydration lasts forever. I use it for mountain biking, hiking, camping, snowboarding. Very comfortable, very durable and good investment. | |
