Getting extra hydration in your bladder
| Rating: | ![]() |
| CB's bladders work great. And now with the lifetime guarantee, they can't be beat. To get about an extra 11 oz in one, get the thing as full as possible using the regular fillhole. Then lay the bladder on the bottom of the sink (or hold it below the sink to get even more of a pressure difference). Turn the faucet on and place the bite valve directly in the solid stream of water - being careful to avoid sucking in any air. The bladder will fill up like a balloon. If you do get some air in it, suck it out and repeat until the thing's solid as a rock. To keep things from growing inside during storage, drain out the hose and shake the bladder out. Let the liquid settle in the hose and drain again. Then loop the hose into the bladder to keep it "open" for drying. | |

"No leaks and drinks great."
| Rating: | ![]() |
| Just fill it up and stuff it into the hydration pack of your choice, and you're good to go. This thing beats the pants off water bottles. It's so convenient to drink as you go without spills. Only problem I've had with it is that the first few times you use it, there's a bit of a plastic taste to the water. Seems to go away though with a few uses. Might also look into the hanger to dry the bladder out when you're finished with it, to prevent bacteria and mildew from growing. | |

"Can't go wrong with CamelBak Omega"
| Rating: | ![]() |
| There really isn't much I can say about this that hasn't already been said. It's durable, check out the videos where it is abused and doesn't bust or leak. It's big, 3L (100oz) of water is a great size for a weekend trip or a thru-hike. It's a CamelBak, so you know the quality and reputation are good, and they even managed to virtually eliminate the plastic reservoir taste that goes along with buying cheaper. If you need a reservoir for your pack, get this one, and get it from Moosejaw! | |

Love it! | |

| I have used mine a lot in the past 2 years and it is holding up very well. I will never go back to bottles. There is no substitute when playing paintball (I use a smaller size), because you can't take your mask off but with this you can still drink water. No funny taste. I wipe it out after I use it but when I forget and leave water in it it takes a long time to get nasty. The brushes do a good job of cleaning the hose out. | |

"Best reservoir out there"
| Rating: | ![]() |
| The old one I had actaully mildewed and was pretty nasty so I needed a new one. I got on here and easliy found the one that I needed and the new Hydro-tanium or whatever they call it is great took it on a hike and all day through the heat never made the water taste funny at all. Great stuff, the only thing I don't like is that there is no lock on the mouthpiece but they are only a couple bucks and easy to replace! | |

"THE BEST RESERVOIR EVOIR!!!"
| Rating: | ![]() |
| They should call this thing the Alpha instead of the Omega. It's the premier. You know to expect great things from CamelBak, but this is the PERFECT size, too. I hiked Mt. Whitney with this, and it got me to the top. That, and my Jordin Sparks playlist. But mostly this reservoir. I have two different camelbak backpacks, and it fits both just fine. Easy to clean and the wide opening makes it super easy to fill for long hikes. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT! | |

Please Sir, I don't need anymore.

| I went on a 8 mile day hike up 3000+ feet and when I came back I still had a little water left in my bladder. No stopping for refills and I did not need a water purifier. The bite valve is awesome. It had no leaking issues and was easy to get water flow out of the valve. This is one product I will use again and again. | |

Perfect addition to any pack
| Rating: | ![]() |
| Great addition to any pack which supports a hydration bladder or replacement for a bladder in an existing CamelBak. The closure is a little difficult to open if you've cranked it down, but you get used to it over time. A little tough to clean the tube without special brushes as well. However, I've never had a CamelBak bladder leak to date and it's stayed generally clean over time. Definitely recommended. | |

"Wayyy better than carrying 4 nalgenes!!!"
| Rating: | ![]() |
| This pack is ridiculously useful for a long day of hiking/climbing... It has great water flow with a sweet bite valve! Forget about carrying a bunch of bulky nalgenes or swiss bottles, this 100 oz pack is all i need to keep me hydrated and takes a lot less effort too. Haven't had to clean it yet, but I hear the cleaning kit works well also. | |

"Pretty Solid" | |
| Rating: | ![]() |
| This thing is pretty cool. If you like camelback water-bottles, just think of this as a water bottle that is just more flexible. It comes out at the same rate (if you want it fast it sometimes seems like you are trying to suck a golf ball through a straw). It fits perfectly in my arcteryx bora 80 in the detachable compartment. Very nice. | |

Taste is terrible | |
| Rating: | ![]() |
| I just returned this because the taste was so bad. I learned to ignore the taste after a while, but my friends practically spit out the water when they tried it. The bladder is made out of something that won't (supposedly) grow mold. With mold, at least I can clean it and it will go away, this was permanently foul. PS I'm not picky about water, I'll drink tap water . | |

Good reservoir, bad valve
| Rating: | ![]() |
| Was using a Nalgene reservoir which started to wear out. The replacement leaked so I switched to this Camelbak. I hate the Camelbak valve - it dribbles, requires extra attention to position before drinking and isn't comfortable to use. I used hydration packs for hiking and biking before, now I use it to stay hydrated while taking care of infant twins. I don't have an extra hand to reposition the valve before drinking. To fix that, I put the bite me valve on and am a happy camper now. | |

Not So Hot | |
| Rating: | ![]() |
| The cap is difficult to twist and if you don't get it tight enough it will leak. It also leaked around the tube exit area and I had to superglue it to stop it. Of course, the usual black mold formation inside, which goes with all of them. I'll probably buy another one because I don't think there's anything better available. | |
