Sized to fit kids ages five and up, the Camelbak Skeeter Hydration Pack features a compact design and an internal 35-oz. OMEGA Reservoir. Camelbak recently refined their entire OMEGA Reservoirs with a HydroTanium polyurethane film that further enhances the integrity of one of the most burst-resistant hydration reservoirs in the industry. The Skeeter Hydration Pack doesn't have a clutter of pockets, but it does have plenty of reflective elements to increase rider visibility in low light conditions. A breathable wicking mesh backpanel helps pull perspiration away from your child's back for better comfort on long rides and hikes. Camelbak suggests that a liter of water should keep a kid hydrated for one to two hours, but this often depends on environmental conditions and how long the novelty of chewing on the self-sealing Big Bite Valve lasts (in field tests we found that a few kids under the age of five chewed through the Bite Valve until it wouldn't properly seal--you may want to pass this parental advice along to your eager riders, hikers and campers).
The Skeeter™ is perfect for a bike ride or other outdoor activities. With enough water for 1 to 2 hours of outdoor fun, this system keeps kids thirst free with their own CamelBak system. Simple in design, the CamelBak Skeeter gives kids, ages 5 and up, 35 oz of hydration whenever and wherever they want it. Fully insulated to keep water cool for hours, take the Skeeter to the park, on a hike, or on a car ride. Parents can offer kids three great colors. Caution! Not for use by children under age 5. The bite valve can come loose, which could cause choking in small children.
Camelbak's Skeeter Hydration Pack is a simple 35-oz. system for the young ones. It is perfect for when you take the kids to the park, bike rides, or a trip to the beach. With enough water for 1 to 2 hours of fun, this system keeps your children thirst free with their own CamelBak system.
CamelBak made the Kids' Skeeter Hydration Pack with a super low-profile design, so this pack feels comfortable all day and won't get caught on tree branches as your kid careens down the bike trail. The Skeeter's wicking back panel keeps back sweat at bay. The HydroTanium water reservoir prevents residue build-up, so your kid's water or sport drink doesn't taste icky. This CamelBak pack has reflective stripes for nighttime safety, and the Skeeter is machine washable for easy de-dirtifying.

Our two year old daughter loves this pack to the point that she often demands it before going to bed at night. You'd think it would be hard to sleep with it on, but whatever works for her, works for us.

Daughter Loved it | |

Took it to Arches National Park in Utah. It was hot and we hiked a lot. My daughter loved wearing it and being able to have a drink whenever she wanted it. She is 4. 2 1/2 year old son had one too. He was a little less enthusiastic about wearing it, however he did and he liked drinking from it too. Worked great for keeping kids hydrated.

Great little pack | |

This is a great pack - bought on for my son (5) and daughter (2). They loved being able to carry their own water. 2 knocks on the product - 1) wish it came with a strap that went across the chest, because this tended to fall of their shoulders, and 2) needs a storage compartment / pocket for little snack.

Great product and will buy it again!

| This is a great product for my 2 year old. When filled it is light enough that he doesn't mind wearing it around the house. It also has increased his water intake while playing. When not being worn, it works great just hangin around for a quick drink between playing. No plastic taste even after sitting for 2 days. | |

| I bought this for my son to use at Scout Camp and it worked good. He wore out the mouth piece by the end of the week, but I guess that is expected of an 8 year old. The bladder was tough to get back into its sleeve because it was a tight fit, but no other complaints. | |

I bought this pack for my 5 year old son, he loves it. It makes him feel just like Dad. He's worn it on short hikes and for skiing and it has worked flawlessly alway. Definately recommend it.

Another great product from Camelbak. However, do not buy it for a 7 year old. It is too small.

| This is great size for my 5 year old, but a little small for my 7 year old. | |

| "It has been a great addition to our son's hiking/bicycling/skiing gear. It really has made it easier (and more fun) for him to drink more water while bicycling and hiking, especially. One thing...he's a kid, so the nozzle gets stepped on and crunched for various reasons. I've had to replace it once in the 6 months I've had this and would recommend adding a protective cover to it or changing it to include one. We have not used it for skiing yet, but plan to. We will need to get an insulating cover for the hose and nozzle." | |

| "Easy to fill, easy to take with you; definitely a good product. A little tough to clean if you fill with a liquid other than water. Make sure to drain to keep from giving the next refill a foul taste." | |
| Michael from Winter Springs, FL at eBags.com on 11/12/2008 | |
| "I loved the look but the pack was way too small for the kids I ordered it for. Probably fine for a 4-5 yr old, but not for an 8 yr old. Going to go up a size." | |
| Lisa from Boulder, CO at eBags.com on 01/05/2009 | |
| "A good deal for that low price. I'd buy more only if I could find it that low again (under $20). The kids LOVE it." | |

Smaller than Expected | |
| Rating: | ![]() |
I bought this for my 7 and 9 year old sons. They LOVE it, but it doesn't hold much water. The tag states that this Camelbak's capacity is 35 oz. or 1 L, but it seems smaller than that. It states that this Camelbak weighs 2.9 lbs. filled and measures 12" X 7" X 1". I wish I had been aware of the measurements and capacity before I purchased this pack, because I would have purchased a larger Camelbak instead. The tag states that this pack is for ages 5 and up, but I feel that kids who are 7 and up need a hydration system with a larger capacity. This Camelback is probably perfect for kids 6 and under.
