great for mountain bike racing

| Before I got this, I was frustrated in a couple of races when my Camelbak hose got tangled in my brake and shifter cables while I was leaning low over the handlebars. Then when I would lean back or stand on the pedals I would suddenly get yanked by the hose. I saw another guy using one of these at a mountain bike race and decided to try it. The wire lets you position it wherever you want, so it can always be in the same place, easy to find a few inches from your mouth, away from the brake cables. It works great. I used it in the the Chequamegon Fat Tire 40 Race last weekend. | |

| Yup it really hold the hose where you want it. The valve on the org. camelback is better than the one that comes on this (I switched mine out). Someone told me the water would not freeze in the line, they were wrong, rock solick after about 20 mins of not moving in freezing weather. To bad, also the extra thickness of the tube doesn't fit through all backpack bladder slots. But hey, it is only 5 bucks. | |

| My boyfriend made fun of me at first when I bought this vs. the standard, floppy tube. But, as we were hiking through the desert in Moab, we both quickly realized how nice it was to be able to position the tube for easy access. It's also nice to be able to keep the mouthpiece off of your body...eeiw. ALSO a big plus...the fabric around the tube acts as an insulator...CRUCIAL in 100 degree weather. | |

Works like a charm, quick to set up (just plugged the hose end into the end of the hose hooked up to the bladder & wrapped a little duct tape around the link for good measure). Perfect for outrigger racing - it's flexible enough to allow for adjustments on the start line yet stays put where you want it. Definitely worth the modest cost!

in my case i think i have to mention i have the filter adapter and a whole lot of tubing, works not bad for long bike rides, great for downhilling nailing the hydraulic brakes and saying to your self "hmmm i think i can drink whilst skidding down this and not take my hands off, thanks tube director!, OH CRAP..." :D

"Great product." | |

| I use it when I'm biking, so I don't have to fish for the tube. I just bend it so it's easily accessible. It doubles as thermal protection too! It kinda bounces around if the proximal portion of the tube isn't secured, but this is truly great to have if you use a hydration pack a lot. | |

I love these things, I wouldn't ride my bike without it. I get dehydrated quickly at times, especially on the climbs. I hate fumbling for a water bottle, or trying to pick-up a dangling tube. The director puts the mouthpiece right where I need it.
