The Vantage 40 is CamelBak's first outdoor pack to incorporate the D.V.I.S. Back Panel Technology: a dynamic, self-adjusting, ventilated panel that moves the pack away from your back. Also features a roll-top waterproof main compartment to keep your gear dryin the worst weather conditions.
CamelBak's Vantage 40L large hydration pack eliminates sweaty back syndrome with the Dynamic Ventilated Integrated System — a self-adjusting design that optimizes fit and stability and provides multi-directional back ventilation. Bite down on the Big Bite valve for a quick drink on the go, and refill easily through the extra-large reservoir opening.

Taking to the GRAND CANYON tomorrow!!!

| There are a LOT of buckles on these things, I got one for me and one for the beau to use - and the back system keeps the weight of the pack off you, so you do not sweat and have a wet are under the pack, the hip belt and shoulder straps are comfortable for me, though the chest clip is NOT, but the beau is a bit constricted by them, we both got L frame, but they are tall and narrow. DID I MENTION that there are a TON OF plastic buckles on these things??? HAHAH red and grey are pretty combo. | |

Great deal for a great pack

| I love it so far. The DVIS system is great. The back sweat isn't nearly as bad. Lots of pocket space. I'll be using it all summer for 7-8 hour days in the back country collecting data so I'll probably have more to say about it in a few months. I've taken it on some 4-5 mile hikes since I got it and no complaints. Our local sporting goods store sells it at retail value. If you get it here with a promo it's a steal. | |

Best Camelbak pack for hikers BUT
| Rating: | ![]() |
| I've had several Camelbak packs and they've always been lacking when it comes to hiking. This pack however comes very close to being what many hikers need. There is a very good amount of storage space and well organized. It is however rather difficult to get a full 100 oz water bladder back into it storage pocket (helps a little to take out the aluminum support rod). I've had it out now 5 times in the Adirondacks (NY) and I'm satisfied with its performance. | |

well made value | |

| This is a great pack especially at anything below $100. Water pack is sort of a tight fit when trying to reinsert, but considering how much this pack holds, it is worth it. Be sure to know your torso measurements when ordering med. or large. I am a large but not sure I would have worn a medium better. Several ways to make fit adjustments, but felt the large rode a little too high. Seems like good quality. | |
