This Camp Oven has just what every camp needs to enjoy superior eating in the outdoors – compact size, portability and raw cooking power. Don't let its compact size fool you. The Outdoor Camp Oven features more than 14,000 total BTU of cooking energy. Twin burners and a spacious oven have plenty of power to get your cooking/baking done the way you like it, right there in camp. The unit uses a disposable 1-lb. propane tank, or it can be adapted to use a 20-lb. tank for increased cooking time. The range's dual burners put out a whopping 5,300 BTU per burner. The oven heats at 3,000 BTU per hour with a maximum temperature of 400°F. Two oven racks allow you to cook your main meal and dessert at once. An oven thermometer helps keep heat constant and monitors your meal's cooking progress. The matchless burner igniters mean you won't have to fumble for a lighter or matches while in the field. The stove's folding lid and carry handles were designed with portability in mind, so it's easy to get into and out of camp. Camp Chef Outdoor Camp Oven Reviews:

This is another great Camp Chef product. Cooks just like a household range. I've baked everything from brownies to pork roast in the oven and it ALL turned out perfect. The burners are easy to control and simmer as well as heat up fast for frying or boiling. I have used one pound canisters as well as a bulk tank with a Camp Chef supply hose to fuel the stove and both work very well. If you are going to be in the woods or mountains for more then a day or two and want to enhance your time there with something more than roasted wieners over a camp fire or freeze dried space food hydrated with water you heat with your Jetboil then get this! If you can't really cook at home please move along and don't waste your time or money with this sweet piece of gear until you learn some culinary basics. This unit will compliment the proficient and elevate the connoisseur to new levels of tasty wilderness cuisine. The one and only thing I do differently when baking with this oven is to rotate the roasting pan, muffin tin, or cookie sheet, 180 degrees half way through the allotted cooking time... but that is just precautionary and only done to insure everything is perfectly cooked.

Wont camp without it now!

I bought this for Boy Scouts winter camp, as it was going to be just my son and I from our troop this year. The dad that has a huge camp griddle wasn't able to go this year so we had to fend for ourselves. This camp stove made it a pleasure. It has now gone on 3 camps since winter camp. I have cooked pizza, bread, cinnamon roles, cookies, and of course all manner of breakfast and dinner. It has nearly replaced his military grill. He can still out cook me on pancakes!
Mine has the good handles and I have had no trouble controlling the temperature on a bulk tank or 1 lbs bottle.

Great stove

Just spent 8 days camping with our new camp chef. Worked great!!! Oven takes a little getting used to, but bisquits for breakfast every morning. Stove burners can be a hassle if you have much wind blowing, but no worse than any other camp stove. Some reviews stated theirs came with recessed handles, but mine came with good solid handles that made moving the stove easy. I am going to order the carrying bag. One other note: if you plan on purchasing pans that fit the oven, remember that the stated size specifications on the pan refers to the actual cooking area of the pan-it does not take into account the handles. Good buy.

great stove

I bought this stove up in Fairbanks, Ak. I was doing a hiway job on the Steese hiway north of town about 100 miles last year. Set this up in my camp hooked up a larger 5 gallon tank. Was able to cook breakfast and dinners no problems at all. Used it for my Colman coffee maker as well. Used the oven for baking a roast, about 4 or 5 pounds. was able to regulate the temp on both the burners and the oven. Outside temp at time of use was between 30 and 55 degrees. Worked perfectly!!

Camp Oven

Got this as a wedding gift and have really enjoyed it. It is nice having a small oven/cook top in the duck blind or when car camping. Oven does not heat evenly and high winds are a problem for the cook top, but that is to be expected with a product like this in my opinion. Easy fix for the uneven heating is to flip your biscuts half way through. Overall a 5 rating as this really is a great product.

Used on the verandah for at home 'camping' on hot summer days ,wish I had it when we owned our off the grid camp cabin!!
I suggest you get the optional connector for the bulk tank. Well constructed, true value for your dollars. Top burners allow a normal skillet, or pot. Oven needs smaller cookie sheets than normal. LOVE this unit!
