Originally developed for scientists working in research facilities at McMurdo station in Antarctica, the Canada Goose Expedition Parka allows its wearers to withstand the most frigid temperatures. Not only is it durable and well insulated, with 625 fill power white duck down, but its iconic design also features a highly functional collection of external pockets, perfect for easy gear storage and hand-warming. When the wind really howls, the tunnel-shaped hood can be pulled tightly around the face, using an adjustable bracing wire, creating a sheltering pocket of air to keep the face warm. But don’t ask us how functional the Expedition Parka is…ask the scientists at McMurdo station. They’ve been living in their Expedition Parkas for more than 20 years!

The Canada Goose Men's Expedition Parka is the original, undefeated champion of extreme cold-weather utility jackets, and its quality and warmth are simply without question. After over 20 years of use by the National Science Foundation at Antarctica's McMurdo Station research facility, the Expedition Parka has proven its worth in the harshest, coldest environments on the planet. With its Teflon-coated Arctic-Tech fabric protecting the super-high lofting, 625 fill-power duck-down insulation within, this parka is designed to let you operate in total comfort, well into sub-zero Fahrenheit conditions. Four front cargo pockets and two sets of fleece-lined handwarmer pockets provide space for every glove, hat, and instrument, with room to spare. These, plus a down-filled hood, freeze-proof genuine coyote-fur ruff and interior snow skirt are just some of the features setting the Expedition Parka far, far apart from its many imitators.

Reviews:

This jacket is huge. I've always been an extra-large. I have a 45 to 46 chest. 34 inch sleeve. 37 inch waist. I am 5'10". The sleeve length is good but the body has way too much room. I purchased an extra-large and I'm exchanging it for a large. Will update when I received the large.
