Very Satisfied

This is my first pair of bike shorts, and I'm glad I chose these. They fit well, and grip the legs well so they don't ride up. My only question relates to the position of the pad. There seems to be quite a bit of padding 'up front' while toward the back, there is not much room for movement around my sit bones. It just seems like the pad could be shifted back a bit, but I'm not expert.

Good Value

I am a casual rider who puts 15 miles every other day and 40-50 miles on the weekend. I am budget minded and look for value rather than flash/image items. These shorts have held up well and are extremely comfortable in the crotch with both great padding and wicking material. If I were to wish for any improvements, it would be for slightly more aggressive elastic in the legs. Buy these shorts if you want function without hype.

I'm a novice to road biking. Went on a 22 mile ride. Very comfortable. Pricey, but I'm glad I have them. Gel is great. Riding partner could't keep up, he was complaining of his uncomfortable seat. I ordered XXL. Not too tight, just perfect for me. I see that 2X is no longer available but 40 waist and less should fit XL.

Just as advertised

I actually use these pants to help cushion my rear. I have lost a lot of fat and muscle due to surgery and these pants work perfectly to cushion the end of my spine.

I use my bike shorts daily riding to work and back. These shorts are comfortable and cost less than others of similar quality and are not as long as most other bike shorts.

Nice pants

seems to be a good product in the few times I have worn them, a bit of chaffing on the legs due to the loose fit.

Good fit & comfortable

Fits wel & the elastic around the legs is a good snug fit to keep legs from riding up. Gel pad is very comfortable.

Canari Men's Gel Pro Short is good gear

Comfortable fit if just a tad too large but still not bad. Still comfortable after 25 miles (have not tried longer). Definitely would recommend.

Canari Men's Gel Pro Short

Plan to return. Ordered based on Campmor sizing specs and shorts seem a full size too large. I hope the next smaller size fits.
CL at Campmor on 10/10/2010

Comfortable with light cushioning

I recommend the product. Mine is a bit loose-fitting so order the smaller size that is likely to be in your size range.

Negative Reviews:

Poor fit and design

Most shorts are designed with a higher back for leaning over the bars. These appear to be higher in front or pad is mounted backwards. Either way, fit is poor and material seems like 6 oz. lycra-not durable. Pad may be OK-didn't ride with them for fear of overexposure in rear!

Gel pad installlation too far to front

I'm going to return the product.
The gel pad was installed so far toward the front that it doesn't even cover my seat bones!

Sorry, we didn't like them and returned

baggy and tight at the same time.

will not buy again

felt to big for the size

Just OK

Stretched out quickly

Neutral Reviews:

Odd cut

I'm 6' tall w/ 34" waist. These short don't come up as high around the torso as I would like and it ends up around my waist. The leg grippers are tight but there is extra fabric in the leg area. The chamois is good. This short is a mixed bag.
Bent Rim Boy at Campmor on 05/05/2011

Good price but ran big

Would recommend going one size smaller if you are generally between a medium and a large. The leg width runs large. I intend to buy another pair, just smaller.

Ok for a starter pair if shorts

Good Short for the Money

Ride 50 miles per week, no problems.
