2-in-1, with great pockets

Rating:****
Don't know about its durability yet. Love the front zipped and interior front pockets. Like that sleeves zip off at shoulders without a cape attachment as with other manufacturers' designs. Seemed to be a wide size difference since the large (42-44) was very baggy, and the medium (40-42) slightly tight with shorter sleeves (I'm 6'). With the sleeves off, the large vest's arm holes were too big and drafty. I (size 42) opted for the medium for the aerodynamic benefit. I like the rear pocket/stuff sack, but it could use an adjustable strap for easier wearing as a fanny pack; as it is, the strap and buckle can be tight around the waist. Would have liked the option of brighter colors. All in all, this meets my needs as a versatile, one-piece wind jacket/vest, eliminating the need to carry both or make a decision as to which one to wear. It is compact and stuffs into a jersey pocket or into its own rear pocket and worn as a fanny pack.

nice jacket

Rating:****
This is a gift, so I can't evaluate its performance, but as a cyclist myself, it seems like a well-made item. It's easily packable for changes in the weather, and the removable sleeves are nice. The only drawback is the color - black is not very visible. The silver reflective tape does help, especially for nighttime riding, but I'd probably hesitate to use it in an urban environment on busy streets.

Light and convenient shell.

Rating:****
Bought this to have a light shell with vest option for my commute. Should be perfect for those "brutal" SoCal winters. Have not yet had a chance to test it in bad weather but it looks like it will provide adequate protection against cold, wind and light rain. Don't think I'd want to use it in really bad rain though.

Great Jacket / Vest Combo

Rating:****
This jacket is a very versatile jacket / vest combo that does what it was intended to do - give you the option to modify your outer wear depending on the changing weather. I'm usually an XL and I ordered an XL and it fit well. The construction is pretty durable and the jacket rolls up compactly for easy transportation.

Love it, light and snug fit

Rating:*****
The only think i dotn like is the buckle in the pocket, used when you stuff the jacket into one pocket to store. I dont see the need for this, it fits in the pocket just fine and does nto need the buckle, I just cut it off though. Otherwise the jacket is awesome, love the dual zipper.

I would buy this product again

Rating:****
I have only used this jacket once and it performed as advertised. It was light weight, breathable, it kept the chill off in the early morning but remained comfortable as the temp. rose. It did bellow a bit in the stiff wind, but that is to be a little expected. Overall a good purchase for me.

Good Jacket

Rating:****
I used this jacket in Tahoe mountain biking & it kept me warm. I like that it breaks the wind & is light weight. I wouldn't use it if it was freezing, but 50-60 deg was great.

For that price you can't beat it!

I am Ride all year round, I just got it but for that price I don't care if it only lasts one year. Works great right now.

Too short

Rating:***
I have been looking for a versatile rain/wind jacket that is also convertible and STP has some good choices. I purchased this jacket as well as the Descente Axiom jacket to see which one was better. I actually liked the Canari jacket better because it seemed to have better pockets, zips would be easier to operate while riding, the front zip is dual-op, it stuffed smaller, and it was cheaper. However, I returned this jacket for two specific reasons: First the color on TSP says "black" but shows as more of a dark gray color. Make no mistake, this jacket is black which I didn't care for personally. Second, and more important, is that the sleeves were way too short for me. I'm 6' 4" so fit problems are not uncommon, but Canari is usually good. I kept the Descente and really like it too.
