Awesome undies

These bike undies worked great. It did not feel like I had on a man diaper and I wore them just like regular briefs with my jeans. You can use them with shorts or other pants comfortably. I traveled 15-20 miles per day on a bike/camp trip and they were great, no chaffing issues at all. For the price you cant go wrong. Just make sure to check the MFG website to double check sizes so that they really fit your waist. Some retailers get it wrong since they dont list actual waist sizes.

A practical addition for errands.

This is a great additon for casual errands to the store when one doesn't care to wear tights. Provides the comfort of the pad and goes under whatever I care to wear over top. Stays put like it should. Looking forward to more use this fall and winter with my unpadded tights and rain pants.

They do the job

It would be nice if the liner short were made of lighter weight material to be even lighter and cooler, but as is they get the job done and fit well under jeans and casual pants. If you ride everyday you will need more than on pair, though.

Best liner shorts I have found

I have owned a pair of these for a couple years now and I find them much more comfortable than the Novara liners. I use them under my winter rain tights (Pearl Izumi Amfib) and they are great for long rides.

This product works!

I wore these in the MN Ironman Bike Ride. They held up great in the 65 mile ride. It was rainy and windy, but my butt didn't hurt. Solid product and at a reasonably cheap price.

Nice & Comfy

Works well when worn under regular shorts for casual rides. It's a better fit than the Novara cycling undies, which are a little too tight in the thighs for me.

Great for MTB

I ride 25+ miles 4 days a week and I love the padding and that they feel good from start to finish.

Excellent value for money.

Use it daily for 30 min commute each way. Helps a lot, allows me to wear normal jeans and travel light.

Great support!

I should have gotten these years ago! It makes my rides so much more enjoyable because of the padding and support.

Negative Reviews:

sit bones not padded

I was disappointed to find that the gel pad is not large enough (or positioned correctly) to fit underneath my sit bones. The padding lies under the perineum, while my sit bones sit on a hard seat. This produces unwanted pressure in sensitive areas! Ideally, the gel pad should have the thickest padding right under the sit bones and minimal padding in the perineal region. This way the sit bones are bearing the body weight instead of soft tissues.

For reference, I'm a 6'2 175 lb male. I have a 31" waist and the medium fit well, except for the padding.

Not worth the hassle

Not a great product.

I bought these 1 year ago, looking for something to give more padding that I could wear under regular shorts.

Pros: They do dry fast and provide decent ventilation.

Cons: The waistband ripped within a week of use. The legs ride up and cause quite a bit of chafing. After a few washes the gel padding shrinks and has less coverage.

Limited durability.

Bought for casual rides and indoor trainer. After a few months of limited use already with wear issues (hole in fabric).

Neutral Reviews:

Started out great, then...

Purchased a pair of the Canari Gel Bike shorts liner about three months back and for a while they were my favorite. Fit was great, very comfortable on medium length commutes, (approx. 7 miles), but they did get a little bit warm on hot days. However, after being machine washed weekly and tumble dried following manufacturers instruction, the gel pad has either melted or shifted such that its a golf ball sized lump in the rear section of the shorts. The Novara bike shorts liner have much thinner padding, but at least are still wearable.

Could be better

These liners are alright, but certainly nothing special, which you start to feel after an hour in the saddle. They could be padded better, i'm not sure why they went with more padding for the cheeks instead of the crotch where the most pressure is. I do like that I can wear them under my cargo shorts for mountain rides to have the padding and my pockets. Overall not a bad product but I expected more.
