Canon Focusing Screen EC-S (Super Precision Matte) for EOS-1Ds Mark III 1D Mark III 1D Mark II N Digital Cameras Review:

Reviews:

A must have for shallow DOF shooting

Bought this to improve focus ability with 85/1.2L lens. Wide open there is no tolerance for focus error and the stock 1D screen does not cut it.

With this screen the ability to see Bokeh with DOF preview and to focus accurately are dramatically improved.

The downside is that the viewfinder is noticeably darker with 2.8 aperture lenses and very dark beyond that. Would not work at all for consumer grade glass with aperture 5.6 etc.
