Capita's The Black Snowboard of Death is back again and better than ever. With a blend of rocker and camber you’ll have a solid platform for power, stability and edge hold, and effortless float and landings in powder. Zero camber under the back binding provides extra stability and pop on hard pack. Flat Kick technology blends the shoulders of the board into the tip and tail to allow for a shorter effective edge and quicker response edge-to-edge. Pre-cured Carbon Fiber Boosters extend from the binding area out towards the contact points in the tip and tail to give you great energy transfer. You also get extra pop on the Black Snowboard of Death, for extra air time.

The Capita Black Snowboard of Death is an enchanted all-mountain freestyle machine capable of ripping apart steep chutes, pow-filled bowls, and icy groomers alike, making you the grim reaper of first lines everywhere. As Capita's longest running board series, the Black Snowboard of Death has been reinvented with a new core and shape for increased float in powder, tons of pop, and higher levels of control.
This directional board is slightly setback and features a 5mm tapered tail. New for this year, Capita crafted this board with a Mountain FK profile. Camber is used throughout the middle of the board, extending five centimeters past the binding inserts for high levels of grip and control. A larger, reverse camber nose from the Freeride FK is featured for superior float when planing through thick snow or deep powder. The tail of the board has a large zone of zero camber for loading up ollies, then transitions to a small reverse camber zone. The end result of this Mountain FK profile is a very poppy board that floats extremely well, but one that is also extremely stable on hard pack.
Brand spankin' new, Capita's Hover Core is composed of FSC certified wood strips and Flax fiber composite webbing. This makes an extremely lightweight, high-strength, and energetic board with increased dampening when riding over choppy snow or variable conditions. Pre-curved Carbon Fiber boosters are strategically placed into an arched shape that counters the board's camber profile, subsequently multiplying ollies and response. A wax-infused sintered base brings mind-warping speed and durability when maintained properly throughout the life of the board.
Completely redesigned, the Black Snowboard of Death is here to make you a better all terrain, any condition snowboarder. Highly technical snowboards shouldn’t take an expert to ride, they should make an expert out of the rider. This next generation Mountain FK shape features camber though the mid-section, a zero-hybrid tail and a custom designed rockered nose. This allows for tons of pop, insane control, and flotation in powder, making you a better snowboarder in variable terrain and changing conditions. Add in the new superlight Hover Core, Pre-Cured Carbon Fiber Boosters, and an insane new shape and you have one of the most advanced snowboards available.
Completely redesigned for 2013/2014, the Capita Black Snowboard of Death features a cambered mid-section, a flat tail, and a rockered nose that give you insane pop, amazing float and tons of control.

i love that the black snowboard evolves every year. this is not a hard board to ride, it's a fun board to ride.
this season the all new shape and mountain camber on the bsod is suited for heading down on a mission, handling anything that gets in your way.
the big difference in how this board rides over last year is all in the tail.
the new shape is slightly tapered, 5mm. the new mountain fk technology provides a zero camber behind your foot into the tail. so the board is more powerfull behind your back foot then last season. the slight tapper in the boards shape allows you to maneuver in deeper snow with ease. there is still reverse camber in the nose of the bsod, so front, side or backcountry pow lines are in your future.
