Negative Reviews:

Directions are wrong and poorly written.

Mounted this product on garage ceiling according to directions but the directions to install the pully system was incomplete and did not work. Called company and the manager informed that the directions are incorrect but she could attempt to give me directions over the phone. I requested written directions or a website with the directions and she indicated that they didn't have the time or staff to be able to do this. This product will be returned to the store.

Packaging & illustrations lacking

I bought two Cargo Loc Hoists and both were missing the hardware to assemble. I ended up spendeing $6.67 . Also, the illustrations didn't match the explanations in the instructions. The views mentioned either were not correct or were not shown. I managed to mount both units but I am not sure they are mounted correctly.

Don't Waste Your Time Like I Did

Directions for threading the rope through the pulleys were poor at best, but eventually could be figured out. The locking system on the main pulley assembly wouldn't hold the weight of a small kayak, therefore relying totally on the cleat to keep the kayak from falling. Returned to Dick's Sporting Goods for a refund.

Bit tricky

It's a bit tricky to get the pulleys set up as the directions aren't exactly clear, a close up photo would be better.
