Could be better

Great coat, but it could be better. Would be nice if there were zippers on the two outside pockets to secure items such as car keys, glasses, etc. Also, the zippers on all the Carhartt coats I tried on are hard to get started because the starting lug on the left side is sewn too close to the zipper seam and hem'd directly below the starting lug, making for a very tight fit - would be nice if they exposed a little more of the starting lug on the left. Size will run large. Most reviews fail to give you an idea of sizing. I physically tried on the coat at another store before mail ordering from Cabela's. I'm 6'2", weigh about 220 and have 34" length arms. An XL was too big and the "L" fits perfect. Haven't tried the QuickDuck fabric out in a real rain storm yet, but it does seem to repel snow pretty good.

Carhartt has always been known for quality, and with the new Quick Duck material doesn't disappoint. I am 5'10'' and about 180 pounds and I went with the XL. Not as long as I would normally like, but gets the job done. Go get yourself one today!!!!

Negative Reviews:

Good quality, but grossly oversized. I'm not a small person at 6'1, 180lbs. This jacket, sized Large, should have been categorized, at the very least, as a Tall XL.
