What can I say, these pants kick so much a$$ you're never going to want to change out of them and as far as I can tell, you'll never need to. Over the years I've beat the crap out of them and my carhartts keep coming back for more. Whether it's at work, in the field, in class or at the bars, I never take them off. I buy two pairs of these babies a year and I have no need for anything else. The double front adds a little weight but another year or so of durability. The pockets are big enough for keys, phone, knife, wallet, or whatever else you may need to get the job done. I'm sold.
Overall: Buy these once; they'll outlast you.
I've done everything from Carpentry to roofing a house to 4wheeling and camping in these. They are thick and very durable. Kneeling and sliding around on the knees without worrying about wearing them out. Not sure why I waited so long to buy a pair. Thumbs up for traditional Carhartt brown.
Carhartt says the Duck washed is the same as the regular; but, has been washed in a big machine with rocks to soften them up. Eventually the normal pair will end up feeling like the Duck Washed. By the Duck Washed and enjoy them the first time you wear them. 180-185lbs 5'11" 34"waist. 34w 32l fits true to size.
By far my favorite work pant I've ever worn. Double front is awesome.
Got these a few weeks ago, found myself pretty surprised by how large they ran in size, specifically in the pant legs. The waist fits fine. I looked them over and tried them on, and concluded I would never wear them... Fast forward a few days, took them out climbing, and took several whippers and slides on the rock. Not even a scratch on these suckers. These things are the real deal. Comfy and tough. Found myself a permanent set of climbing pants.
Comes with heavy weight. This is the heavier duck material, not the lighter canvas, used for brutal jobsite areas where puncture and tear hazards are high. The canvas material is super durable, and breaks in nicely over time. If hot weather is a concern and your jobsite is not as rugged, try the canvas double front pants from Carhartt. Much lighter and more comfortable. You may even be able to pull off wearing them to the office.
These are incredible. I bought one pair just to test them out and ended up buying two more a few months later because I was so whooped. They will handle any abuse you can give them, and will last for years. Or decades. I'll probably be wearing these same pants 20 years from now. As with all things Carhartt, the fit is a teeny bit big, so consider sizing down. I love the Dungaree fit.
I only brought one pair of pants on my 18,000 motorcycle journey. That one pair of these double-kneed Carhartts has been everwhere from the top of glaciers in Alaska to the shores of the Sea of Cortez, and every state in the lower 48. The double knees do a great job deflecting gravel and bugs along the way. I won't wear anything else when I ride.
Probably the most durable, best fitting pant on the market. I have a closet full of technical clothes and lighter pants than these tanks, but I still wear these nearly every day in the cooler months. Double front is super tough, and will almost never die on you. The pockets start to fray where you wallet sits after a few years, but that's no big deal.
Wear these pants for everything from working on my car, to camping and going elk hunting. Great durability, never had them come close to thinking they will wear out. Fit in the waist is a little tight at first, but after a couple wears they stretch out a bit. Classic look and bombproof durability you've come to expect from Carhartt that never gives up.
The washed duck is definitely more durable and thicker, but the canvas is soft and little thinner. Got them both and will have to let time tell. My quick assessment is the washed duck might be way to go for durability and can see these loosen up after a few washes. Loving the new pants!
One word for these bad boys, DURABLE!!! My husband was constantly destroying his pants due to the nature of his work but these pants have yet to be ruined. Carhartt makes fantastic work pants, they are tough but still look good. Fits true to size.
