High quality at half the price

Rating:****
I tried on different vests in local stores, but none of them were made as well as this Carhartt vest. This is the second Carhartt vest I bought from [...]and I am delighted. The first vest was a different style and has 2 inside pockets and no collar. My wife sewed a second pocket inside this vest. We keep the thermostat turned down to save energy and I wear these vests indoors. Because this vest has a collar and zips up further, it is well suited for outdoor use, too.The blemishes on both vests were minor -- torn threads. The only reason I rated this vest at 4 instead of 5 stars is that it had only one inside pocket.

Great vest, highly recommend!!

Rating:*****
I just purchased this vest for my husband along with the women's version for me. We both LOVE our new Carhartt vests. They are functional and fashionable all at the same time. HIGHLY recommend. The only downside to hubby's is that he is 6ft3in and this is just a tad shorter than I think we would like, but he loves it all the same. That's nothing new for us though. Being above average height most things are cut shorter.

Great

Live in Great North West, nice to have something that you can wear to keep warm and yet be able to move around easily. 2nd one I have purchased. So far really durable. Negative wanted "Carhartt" tan - each time received a different color. Like them to much to send back.

Our family wears alot of carhartt, we have a farm and we do alot of outside things. The vest is perfect for the weather if it is up or down. Just enoug warmeth sometimes and if not the vest is not to bulky to add a coat.

Great gift

Rating:****
I gave this as gift to my boyfriend because he always was wearing his Carhartt jacket, but didn't have the mobility for working (using chainsaws etc). He loves it and is able to stay warm, but not too warm.

I love it!

Rating:*****
The quality is outstanding, the feel of the fabric is very, very nice. The vest is warm and I wear it in my office on cold nights when I don't want to heat the house. I love it.

Comfortable and practical, looks good.

This vest fits well, looks good, and has a tough exterior. I use it in the wood shop and I like the freedom of movement and the warmth. It's well made and easy to wash.

Negative Reviews:

Irregular stitching

Rating:*
I purchased this vest as a Christmas gift for my father. Nothing was said on the web site about there being anything "irregular" about this product. When I received the vest there was irregular stitching on the back of it. Something I would never have purchsed in a store. Customer service said that all products are not "inspected" prior to being sent out. Beware of this as product quality is improtant to us all.

Pay the extra for a #1

Rating:**
Carhart is the only brand I've had problems with from Siera Trading Post. This vest seems short for my waist and it has a rough seam inside one pocket. It is a 2nd and does have niticeable defects as have other Carhart 2nds I've purchased from Sierra.

Excellent for Barrel-built Men

Rating:***
Pity the description of this excellently made garment 'forgets' to mention than it is best suited for men with short (almost compressed) backs, resulting in chilled kidheys or flapping shirt-tail syndrome !
