Folds'em Good

I have been shooting BC 3in. #2 for about the past 6 years and finally decided to try out the mid-range BC choke. Before, I was using a Carlson's Extended Full Steel Shot choke with good long range results in my Ben. Nova 12ga. but wanted something for closer shots. I have not officially patterned either choke. However, the BC mid-range seems to work as advertised. This past weekend I folded a green-winged teal at 40 yards using the BC mid-range w/ BC 3in. #2. I actually went back out after the hunt w/ a range finder to confirm the distance. If your shots are less than 20yd. then this choke may still be too tight as I missed most close shots ~15yd. away. However, w/ the BC wad design I would imagine the load was intended for mid to long range shots anyway so using a more open choke may not have any measurable impact...just pure opinion though. If they come in close, just be patient enough to let them fly out into the 30-40yd. sweet spot. I dinged the rating one star b/c the choke has about a 1/32" gap between the end of the barrel (Ben. Nova 12ga.) and the start of the knurled part of the choke even when torqued all the way in...just a very minor aesthetic/fit issue and that is all. I shot about 15 times and the choke did not seem to loosen significantly, so I suppose it is designed to fit that way. I also noticed the inner diameter of the bottom end of the choke is larger than the inner diameter of the barrel at the point at which the two mate up. In other words, I can see the edge of the inner diameter of the barrel when I look down into the bore w/ the choke fully inserted. This is just merely an observation and nothing more, and I suppose this is part of the design as well. I just figured the choke and barrel diameters would match at that point inside the bore. Sorry for the short story, but I like to be thorough. Good hunting!

Drops em from a far

Just had to write a write a review. I used to use a different aftermarket choke tube that's was cheaper. I thought it was a good buy. I shot it for three years. Then I decided to buy this choke and give a friend my old one. Let me just say that I have never dropped geese from this far away. I love this thing. Well worth the money. I have slammed geese from 50 to 60 yards with this choke.

dropping ducks like rain!

Much better pattern than my standard chokes with Black Cloud ammo. Bought both medium and long range chokes. Shot medium range on opener with great success. Used long range two weekends later and dropped a couple way out there. Very happy with these chokes!

5.5 Under water fish Camera

This item came to be broken with the screen being defective. Then I had a replacement sent out. Cabelas was nice and had one shipped from Colorado to my location in Illinois. The second item shipped to me was defective as well the light on the camera did not work. I read into detail and it sounds like these underwater fish cameras are discontinued with cabelas and due to defectiveness. The 2nd one they sent me looked like it was a open item with the camera having some type of differnt glue sealing the unit.
