MSR Stainless Alpine 2 Pot Set

Bombproof basecamp cookset! I also added MSR's matching 1 liter Stainless teapot that is made to fit perfectly inside this 2 pot stainless set. Also two or more of the MSR Alpine Stainless plates fit perfectly in the stuff sack that is included, with room for at least one of MSRs Alpine soup bowls. This set is perfect for campfire cooking, Coleman brand "suitcase stoves" and even the pocket sized backpackpack stoves. Heck the larger of the two pots and the teapot I added even fits on my Trangia 27 series alcohol stove. The small pot does not sit level in my Trangia. These stainless pots may be a bit big and heavy for backpacking, but they are perfect for a basecamp or car-camping. I fully expect this stainless MSR cookset to outlast me!

Nice pots bigger size offers flexibility

Was going to get the two pot set but I like this better because you have more options with the bigger pot included. To save weight you can leave behind any pots you aren't going to use--thus this is a good set for 2-4 people. The stainless can be hard to clean if you let food burn on it. Comes with a mesh bag and my MSR Wind Pro stove fit right into the smallest pot. The pots all nest together nicely. One can use a narrow strap to hold the pots together as there are metal tabs on the outside seemingly for that purpose.

Nice cookware for car camping

We rented the MSR Alpine 2-pot set before we purchased this. We liked it, but chose to purchase the "4 pot" set for the increased versatility of the sizes. I'm not sure why it is called a 4-pot set when it has three pots, but it was clear from the images that we were only getting three pots. We found it very easy to clean, even for food that had some melted cheese.
