Platypus Hoser 2 -
Made with the same welded plastic laminate as Platypus bottles. Hosers are water reservoirs with a drinking tube assembly that convert an ordinary fanny pack or day pack into a 'hydration sports pack' for a fraction of the cost. Hoser 2 holds 2 liters and weighs 1 oz and will fit most top pockets of backpacks. The drinking tube length is 40"

Great buy!

This fit right in to my non platypus backpack. Durable construction. Only problem is at below freezing the water in the hose freezes, but you'll get that with any camel pak. Wrapping the hose with insulated tape gives you a bit more time before the water in the hose freezes. At 20 degrees it takes about 30 min for the hose to completely freeze uninsulated. For the money its a great buy and very compatible with off brand paks.

New Platypus

I have both the 2 liter and 3 liter units and my older unit needed replacement! I like it, it works and I stick with what works!

Great product

I like the rounded design instead of the square corners. It makes it much easier to clean.

Helpful but cap comes off

Worked well and made hydrating a lot easier, but cap came off when I hiked through some tight bushes and had to retrieve it from a branch - worked ok once I tucked it into my chest strap. Also, no stop valve so leaked when sitting in my pack full.
