"a great reservoir at a competitive price."

Rating:****
this is a great reservoir. i got a camelbak hydropak from goodwill for 75 cents, but it didn't come with a bladder so i started looking. i was looking for something that would be light and durable, but most of all, wouldn't taste like plastic. price also played a big part in the decision. after about a week of looking around, i landed on 1.8 ltr platypus they have so many size options - it's awesome!. it fit all of my criteria and it was the cheapest by 5 or 10 bucks. this was also my first moosejaw purchase, and i was thrilled. i will definitely order from these guys again, and the sticker they sent me is already being displayed on my car. the only issue with this reservoir is i'm n

"Why spend more? Platypus is the bomb (insert generation acceptable word here)"

Rating:*****
After owning a few hand held Platypus devices, I got these for our weekend hikes and they are awesome. The bite valve is a bit stiff, but I can already tell that it is softening which is better than leaking. Why pay more for other devices like Camelbak? The Platypus is solid construction. BTW, there is faint taste at first so be sure to rinse well with water and it does go away after a few uses.

"Very strong and very light"

Weighting in at a quarter of the weight of my previous camelback bladder, this thing is much much tougher than I initially believed it would be. It has held up to months of abuse, and with the exception of the one time I didn't screw the cap on correctly, it has never leaked in my pack.

"As much as I liked MSR to start, I recomend these..."

Rating:****
I've used it twice now, and it is solid. Cleans like all Platypus, and the mouthpiece also works easily. The downside is the pack attachments at the top. Very few of my packs have a double attachment. Most have one. If I do use this, it's lopsided.

"Hydration never looked so good"

The mouth piece on these is really nice and the tube is soft and flexible. The bag has a nice big hole for hanging it or grabbing it, but the opening is small so expect warm water unless you carve some ice to fit.

"Great Balance of Price and Practicality"

Rating:*****
This product works exactly as it should that hose and mouth piece are also well constructed. This is a great buy if you are look in for a comparable camel pac product without the high cost.

"Smashtastic"

Love it. Works great, no complaints, just the right size. In my experience, platypus is the best brand that I've used for hydration systems.

"Good reservoir, could use a larger fill opening."

Rating:***
The Platypus Hoser has been a great & durable reservoir. At 2L it holds enough water for my average day hike (6+ miles). The hose is plenty long. I wish the opening was bigger so I could add drink mixes easier. Also the bite valve is a bit on the stiff side, but it seems to be loosening up the more I use it. Still, I prefer the CamelBak bite valve to this one.
