You want a warm jacket for cool, crisp fall days, but you also know that once you get rolling, if your jacket is overkill, you'll get too hot. The Castelli Magia Jacket is the perfect layer for those transition seasons.
As a mid-weight layer, Castelli used a multi-paneled design in the Magia, not just to streamline fit and help the jacket conform to your body while you are in riding position, but to take advantage of the properties of several fabrics. For example, its WindStopper X-Lite stretch fabric was placed in the front panels. This fabric is not only windproof, it also is water resistant to help keep you protected from the splash of the occasional puddle. A soft, stretch fleeced material that helps to wick excess moisture away from your skin to keep you dry was used on the back panels.
The Magia is cut with women in mind. It has princess-shaped seaming that nips in at the waist while being wide enough around your hips to not ride up. It also features a flip-up Thermoflex collar to keep the chill out and a full length cam-lock zipper that does not slip down when you unzip a few inches for a little extra ventilation during a hard climb. A jacquard gripper elastic seals cold out while keeping the jacket from riding up. And, because Castelli knows that you will most likely pack a few extra cold weather items for your ride, they included three large back pockets. Reflective back tabs were added for low-light visibility.
The Castelli Magia Jacket is available in five sizes from X-Small to X-Large. It comes in the colors: White/magenta/black, Deepblue/White, and Black.
