Decent Base Layer

Rating:****

This is a comfortable base layer that fits mostly true to the size chart. However, the overall length comes down past my hips, and the sleeves fall a bit short of my wrists.

It is stretchy and conforms well to the body, but it is definitely not a compression garment. In fact, after your ride it will stretch a little bit and feel looser than when you put it on. It returns to normal size when it dries, though.

The AirCo keeps me warm enough that, in 55+ weather, I've 86'ed my windbreaker vest. I wear it with a long sleeve jersey with a brushed interior. It wicks well, but does seem to take longer to dry on the rack than my Asics "skinlife" base layer. Not sure if that's because it's 82% Nylon 18% Polyester.

Spider Man

Rating:****

I feel like spider man when I wear this Castelli long sleeve! Get your 6 min ab video out, your going to need it, if your going to wear this long sleeve. If you got a bit of a tire a vest works well as a cover. It's not super warm which is good just warm enough. 30 to 40 degrees is ideal temps. I use it biking and running. Love the accents to.

Just buy it...

You know you want to. Don't worry, it doesn't just look cool, it performs as well. Slim but great fit, keeps you warm without sweating, and if you throw some lycra arm warmers over it you can extend it into the lower 40's without your upper section getting cold. Very happy with mine.
