A truly classic design, the Castelli Agnel Short Sleeve Jersey is styled after team jerseys from yesteryear, and it pays homage to the Col of the same name, the 22.4km brute first climbed in the 2008 Tour. And like the riders that survived the ascent up the Agnel on that July day, you’ll appreciate the technical design aspects of this jersey that help you stay cool on warm days.
The 100% polyester knit features a subtle waffled pattern that allows the fabric to be lighter and feel lighter. It’s breezy because of the reduction in the surface area of the fabric lying against your skin. Combine this with the full-length zipper, and you’ll be able to manage your temperature easily when you set out to conquer your local testpiece.
Of course, performance is a priority, but we’re big on the aesthetic too. You can be sure that you’ll look stylish while you’re out on the bike with this custom design. It features bold Castelli logos across the chest and back, with contrasting bands of color on the sleeves and collar.
One aspect that we really like is that the set-in sleeves have a simple hemmed cuff. There is no elastic or gripper material here. It’s a nod toward comfort that you’ll appreciate. We also like the UPF 45 rating. This means that the Agnel Jersey will block roughly 95% of harmful UV rays as you do your long rides – one less worry to distract you from your training.
The Castelli Agnel Short Sleeve Jersey is available in six sizes from Small to XXX-Large and comes in Black or White. Please check the dropdown menu for availability. It has the traditional three-pockets in back for the day’s essentials.

I own several different Castelli jerseys. All are very good, though fit certainly differs between their various offerings. The Logo series fits me best, that is until I wore the Agnel.
When I first put it on it felt snug around the chest and shoulders, but as soon as I got on the bike the Agnel felt like a custom fit - spot on. It is definitely cut to fit a stretched out road rider, not a cafe lounger. Sleeves are a comfortable length, coming a bit over my biceps and not too tight.
The fabric is very comfortable with temps in the low 90s. I got the black version, so likely won't wear in sunny, hot temps. The styling is sublime. Just about as perfect a jersey as I'm able to imagine.
I typically wear a Large in Castelli jerseys.
Note that I'm 5-7, 190 lbs, 40 inch chest, fairly broad shoulders. Your mileage may vary.
I got the white version and I love it. The only problem is that the size I regularly wear feels too tight in the chest/shoulder area. I found that the most helpful reviews include some dimensions to compare so here we go: 5'10", 174 Lbs., size 33. My chest is around 40.5. Usually wear L size, but on this one I have to size up. The material and built is first class and really great. Get the right size and won't regret it. I gave it 5 stars even though it was a bit snug for me, but I am rating the jersey itself. The XL should fit me right. I do not expect all manufacturer to have the exact same dimensions.
I just wore this on a long ride and really liked the quality and feel of this jersey. Now I'm looking for the Castelli bibs or shorts to match. I got an XL when I'm normally a large, but I have broad shoulders and don't like my jerseys super tight.
Great Jersey for a great price. What you have too many already?? Get One!
the worst fitting jersey i have even tried on. the fabric is regular stuff you would find in any $40 jersey although the castelli MSRP price is $99. i got a XXL normally i would get a XL but everyone says size up so i did. the arms were tight but not too tight, i think the graphics look real good but thats all thats good about this jersey. the collar is all floppy unless you have the zipper all the way up. the bottom of the zipper bunches up big time. the stomach area is baggy but the length of the whole jersey is too short, both front and back. while the arms are tight there are loose flaps right behind your armpits. there is a loose bunch of fabric in the middle of the back but the length of the back is short. im sending both the jerseys i got back.
