Water-resistant uppers get an extra shot of toughness from rubber toe and heel caps, letting you kick small rocks and stubby branches without a second thought. The seam-taped waterproof bootie prevents pruny toes when you start building an ark and herding pairs of animals aboard.
The Hinterland's polyester mesh lining lets foot sweat escape so your toes don't end up submerged in a puddle of perspiration. The tongue is gusseted, which means the tongue is attached to both sides of the boot, creating a barrier between pebbles and your paws so you can hike without the added discomfort of rocks in your shoes.
The removeable LUVSEAT footbed cradles every bone in your foot for maximum support and long-walking comfort. You'll find additional foot support in the EVA midsole with ESS support shank. The Active Adventure sole is made from EcoTread rubber and contains 25% recycled rubber, without sacrificing an ounce of grip-ability. Deep lugs, 4 to 5mm deep, contribute to the boot's ability to grip and stay in contact with the ground, in spite of wet, uneven terrain.
