Chaco Uma Boot Reviews:

Positive Reviews:

I've had these boots for about 6 weeks now and have been wearing them on a regular basis as we have consistently had about 14" on snow on the ground and it hasn't been above 0 degrees in a week. I bought them as a less clunkier version of my snow boots so I could stand to wear them at work rather than bring a change of shoes. The traction is better than you would think, I have yet to slip. They are very comfortable with good arch support. They keep my feet pretty warm, I usually wear thick socks. I've often trudged through 5"+ of snow in these and they have kept me dry (even before spraying waterproof stuff on them). Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I wish they were a little warmer, and when they arrived there was someone's used sock stuffed in one of the boots.. that was weird..

I got these for casual winter days going to work or running errands. The color is great. I like the black and teal accents. I am a total advocate of Chaco shoes. I have about 5 pairs. I love their sandals and all their shoes are as great as their sandals. Their"luvseat" footbed has great support in the Uma boot. It helps with my falling arches and knee problems from that. They have great cushion and are SUPER COMFY! I wouldn't go trecking out in huge snow drifts but as a casual, keep my feet dry and warm, these are perfect! Super cute, great for casual cold days.

Because Chaco Sandals only come in whole sizes and my *true* size is 8.5, I ordered these in 8.5 so I could wear boot socks. They were still a bit too big for my liking and I sent them back. BC didn't have the Andorra color in 8 so I had to order from (sigh) another website. I didn't find them too narrow. I prefer a wide in Chaco sandals and although these don't come in wide width, they seem to have just enough room. They are well constructed and comfortable.

These boots fit great, I've worn them hiking and around town this fall mainly.. so far they are keeping my feet dry and warm. No blisters, no complaints.

Negative Reviews:

The shoes are brand new and gave me blisters on both heels. I feel that they are larger than they should be for the size I ordered. The foot bed is uncomfortable on my foot- it's too contoured. I wear minimal running shoes normally, and I feel that the bed in this boot tries to conform my foot to it, rather than it conforming to the shape of my foot. I will be returning these.
