I have had plantar fasciitis, and have also had tendonitis a couple of times in my left foot, from walking/standing on concrete floors at my work. I had gotten to the point that I was having to get cortisone injections. A simple day of shopping was spent shifting from one foot to the other to try to relieve the pain from standing. I have special insoles, but they are not wearable with sandals. I became interested in Chacos b/c I read online that they have very good arch support, which is the key to relieving foot pain. After trying different styles, I found that the Z2 was the most comfortable b/c of the wide straps. It took a week or two to get them broken in to where I could wear them for long periods with no discomfort, but after that, I could not believe how they felt on my feet. I wear them every single day when I am not at work. They are the only shoes that I will wear shopping now, b/c when I have them on my feet do not hurt AT ALL, even when standing on concrete floors for long periods. I also wear them when hiking/walking. They are the most comfortable shoes that I have EVER owned!
