| Awesome shoes. I was hesitant to buy these based on previous reviews. I'm so glad I did! There is plenty of arch support in these shoes I have no idea what other people are talking about. In my opinion, there is even more support in these shoes, compared to my Chaco Leather Flips. I didn't see the detailing on these shoes from the photos, so I was pleasantly surprised to see how well they are made. The shoelace eyelets are reinforced with metal, as are the ends of the shoelaces. Also, the shoe is a lot softer than what appears in the pictures. I was afraid the shoes would be stiff (like Chaco's hiking shoes), but they are very soft similar to sneakers. Overall I am so pleased with my purchase, and I intend to order another pair (just can't decide on the green or orange)! | |

| LOVE these sneakers - Chaco's Maddie is FANTASTIC. Brindle color is great; it's more beige in color than the pics. If you love Chaco's sandals, you'll love these shoes. Excellent arch support, in fact I put them on and walked a few miles, no problem. GREAT design, too. Super cute. I considered Simple brand, but these offer way more comfort and support. I have standard feet, but if you have wide feet, these will be great for you, too. (They make big feet look small!) Definitely worth the money. Thank you, Chaco! Thank you, Zappos! | |

The Chaco Maddie Shoe is both cute and pretty supportive for a casual sneaker. They are also a bit cushy feeling. I've gotten lots of complements on them. My Chaco Eclipse flip flops are a 9 and they are just barely long enough for my feet. I bought these shoes in a 9.0, which is what I often am in other brands, and they are a bit long. I think I would be better off in an 8.5 for this shoe, and perhaps some of Chaco's other shoes. | |

| These are extremely comfortable, really the first sneaker type shoes Ive liked. There is plenty of toe room, no pointy-toe style here. They dont come up as high on the ankle or on the top of the foot, making them much more wearable. Ive worn them for hours at work, come home and not even kicked them off, they feel that good... and Im hard to please. Get these, youll get lots of complements, too. Very cute, and they wear great. | |

| These are really nice shoes. I have a very narrow heel but I\'m relatively broad at the ball of the foot and like a lot of toe room. These shoes fit perfectly. They have a snug heel and the laces allow me to tighten where I need it but I still have a lot of wiggle room at the top. The support is good and they\'re cute! | |

| If you are looking for comfort - I needed a comfortable shoe that was also attractive and these shoes were just what I was looking for. I walk at least 25 miles per week and so far after wearing them for 2 weeks, they are not only comfortable, but seem to have enough support. I am hoping they are as durable as they are comfortable. | |

| This pair truly satisfied my 2 important criteria for sneakers: a) cute and b) comfortable. Wore them for the first time and went on a 3-mile walk with no problems at all. Roomy toe area and no rubbing from the back of the shoe. Also got compliments from my 22-year-old son; now that's an accomplishment! | |

| As usual, Chaco comes through. This brand is my favorite of all time and I am an original shoe queen. I love the style, I love the support. If I could have only one brand of shoe, Chaco would win, hands down! | |

| These shoes are wonderful! I wear a size 10 and they make my feet look small. Super comfortable, very stylish, all around a great pick. I have the cream color and love the combination with the red. | |

| Love these Chacos! There is ample space provided in the toe box and I find the support stable and super comfortable as run-around sneakers. Highly recommended! | |

| I love my Chacos flips because they such amazing arch support. I thought these shoes would have the same, but no. They are almost completely flat on the inside... no fabulous arch for my aching feet. Cute style, but I need more than cute in m y shoes. Disappointing. | |

| Summary - Pros: cute, heel doesn't slip. Cons: not nearly as much support as sandals, sides hit my ankles in a painful way. Suggestions: order a half-size up. Review - I've been wearing my Chaco sandals all summer and am starting to realize I'll have to switch to shoes soon for the fall. I thought the Chaco Maddie would be an ideal solution. I ordered the same size as my sandals, but they were too tight. I then ordered a half-size larger, and they fit more comfortably around the toes. My big toes stick up and require a deep toebox, which this shoe provided once I ordered up a half size. And I was willing to accept the fact that these shoes aren't nearly as supportive as the sandals. However, the sides come up too high and dig in to the bottom of my ankle. I'm really disappointed about this, because it's hard to find shoes that don't slip off my narrow heel. These shoes are cute and I wish they would work for me! My search continues for stylish yet functional non-heel slipping, non-ankle hitting, roomy-toebox, everyday/casual shoes. | |
