I've had these since the beginning of the summer and have put them through the wringer - 11-15 mile days in Utah redrock country, canyoneering in Paria Canyon, and frequent hikes in the mountains outside Boulder, Colorado. They've also joined me in Washington DC, Yellowstone, New Mexico, and even came on a rafting trip. I wish I'd had them on several trips to the tropics I'd taken last year, too. They're breathable and tough; I recommend them for any warm-weather hiking, but they do not keep your feet warm below about 40 degrees. I have found them exceptionally durable - 100 miles of slickrock scrambling, dirt, and stony trails have barely worn the soles, and they appear new. They dry quickly if worn into the water, and make an excellent shoe for canyoneering or any sort of wet adventure. The traction is excellent on any surface but very wet stone. I recommend these without reservation, but with the note that the footbed has a LOT of arch support. I find it insanely comfortable, but those with low arches may find them otherwise. I find them to be just as useful and comfortable as Chaco's excellent sandals, which I've worn for years. I marked it down slightly for look; Chaco really only nailed the aesthetics on the gray and orange one, which I own. I simply don't find beige attractive on shoes.

Awesome hiking shoe... love the arch support! After wearing my Chaco sandles for six weeks, the transition to the arch in these "Redrocks" was seamless. I was very happy with the lightweight comfort of these hikers after wearing them for a few short hikes. I recently wore them on an 11+ mile hike in Glacier National Park, and was thrilled with the comfort! I normally wear a womens 10, but have a wide foot, so I bought the men\'s 9... they\'re perfect no matter what sock I wear.

"Buy the shoe, but if your debating between two sizes go with the bigger one!"

Great running shoe. Very breathable, dries fast, Fits well as sized, but be sure you will have toe room, the front toe line is very stiff and you may wish you had a size bigger if its too tight. I like a tight shoe tho when i run. Great feel, and no real compromise in quality either, just as choco's sandals its top notch.

Solid traction comfort - My first experience with an "off road" shoe and I find it very comfortable – right from the beginning – with just enough sole tread to make moving forward a breeze. The light weight and comfortable insole (I have a high arch and this shoe matches it) are great! I even wore them to school one day.

Very Comfortable - Shoes are very comfortable and have great arch support. They were much cheaper than any other department store or website AND Zappos shipped them for free! Best of all, they upgraded my shipping without me asking for free. I will definitely buy from Zappos in the future!

Chacos for winter - I'd been waiting a while to see what Chaco would come out with for their new shoe line. The old leather one's were great, but these quite different. They're very light, and feel pretty sturdy. I now have a pair of Chacos for the winter time.

Awesome Shoe - Exact (maybe better) benefits of the sandal. Comfortable right out of the box. Only watch out is that I take an 11 sandal and a 13 shoe so keep in mind when ordering yours. I am definitely "in" for a pair of the boots.

One of the best shoes I have owned. The shoe is specially made with a support insole and this may take some getting used to, but in the end it feels like something every shoe company should incorporate into their designs.

Exceptional - The most comfortable, finely crafted lightweight walking/hiking shoe available. Support, stability, cushioning are right there. Chaco's (on Zappos) recently cut prices dramatically across the entire line. I'm ordering other colors before the bean counters catch on.

Looks over comfort - Looks good but runs larger than size and does not have much arch support. Laces could be larger also.
