Best Shoes I've Ever Worn - I'm 21 years old, and my feet have been sized at a 4E width since I can remember. For my entire life, I've lived by the saying "if the shoe fits, it's ugly." I spent years squeezing my feet into shoes that didn't actually fit, and dealing with the blisters and aches that came with them. Until I met Chaco’s. I have to wear a men's wide, so my color options are a bit limited, but the shoes are so amazingly comfortable. The sole is wide enough for my foot, and the continuous strap system allows me to adjust them until they fit my feet perfectly. They've practically become an extension of my body. And they look nice! I wear my Chaco’s EVERYWHERE: walking, hiking, camping, at work, in town, out to dinner, at the lake, IN the lake. I even wear them in the winter, though I definitely wouldn't recommend doing that in colder climates. Chaco sandals are perfect for people who prefer to have bare feet. The contoured footbed supports and protects the foot, while the straps are thin, lightweight, and unobtrusive enough that they don't interfere with ventilation and sensation. Great for walking through rocky streams. My first pair of Chaco’s (Z/2s) were a hand-me-down pair from my stepsister. They were 3 years old and well-used when I got them. I got a good 6 more years out of them before I finally had to retire them. I'd been dreaming of a new pair ever since. I got the ZX/2s this time around because I like the way they look, and I've found that they're just as comfortable as the original. I recommend these shoes to anyone and everyone. They're a bit of an investment if you don't usually spend a lot on shoes, but for 9+ years of solid, year-round use, they are absolutely worth it.

Fit it and forget it... I was very intrigued the first time I saw a couple wearing these sandals many years ago. I thought what a great design... wish I had thought of it (I have a very bio-mechanical mind). So now I have worn a pair for the past 5 months beach, hiking, touring... It takes a bit of tweaking to get the fit right. Fitting is easy to adjust once you get the hang of it and is exceptionally adjustable to customize the fit to each foot (not every pair of feet matches!). Once set, the straps rarely need adjusting and can be worn (quite securely) with the ankle strap loose for more casual wear. The foot bed seems firm but gives EXCELLENT SUPPORT especially with the straps adjusted well. The foot bed also is textured with a diamond cut like pattern that further enhances support by seriously limiting any slip of the foot in the sandal (wet or dry). However this texture will take a bit of getting used to for those with tender feet/soles. The Vibram sole is great, except for aggressive push off on softer surfaces/sand- tread pattern doesn't bite enough and slips in a way that is consistent with the tread pattern design under the toes. Great that it can be resoled and straps replaced. At first, I thought they were a bit pricey for a sandal... now I feel they are well worth the money. GREAT INVESTMENT in the future of your body... your feet have to carry you for the rest of your life and are the foundation for the rest of your body... take care of it! BUY THEM! Thanks for the great service Zappos!!

Impressive Sandal - I ordered the Chaco ZX/2 sandal not knowing what to expect in terms of comfort or fit, as I've never worn Chaco brand before. After wearing them a while I was very surprised at how comfortable they are. The sole seems a bit stiffer than other brand sandals I've worn, and the footbed is a little rough with the diamond pattern, but very good at keeping the foot in place. Going on extended walks when wearing my Chacos leaves my feet feeling invigorated instead of tired, and I no longer experience shin splints when walking extended distances, thanks to the Chaco sandals. I found the straps to be very easy to adjust, and they are so soft and conforming to the foot that you can't even tell they're there. The straps don't blister my feet, and there was no break-in period, which was nice. I was able to take off and go from day one of wearing them. The Unaweep tread is very grippy in most all circumstances I've encountered, safe for polished ceramic tiles and marble floors, where they will slip a little if wet. I couldn't be more pleased with the Chaco ZX/2 sandal.

"Best sandals I've ever owned. Totally worth the extra money."

I owned a pair of north face sandals that were similar to a pair of chacos before I bought these sandals. True, the north face ones were cheaper, but they also fell apart within a month. These are a high quality pair of sandals and totally worth the little extra money because they wont need to be replaced for a long time. I wasnt sure if I would like the double strap or the toe strap, but I totally do. The double strap was at first hard to adjust, but got very easy after I got the hang of it. The toe strap doesnt irritate my big toe and as a bonus it helps with foot control, which is very helpful if you hike in these. I dont think Ill ever buy another pair of sandals that arent chacos

"Every hiker/camper/outdoors person should own a pair of chaco sandals!"

I have been wanting a pair of zx/2 chaco's for a year now but could never really see myself wearing them that much more than my boots and spending a ton of money on sandals. I finally went on a backpacking trip in Utah this past weekend and knew that I would be jumping off of cliffs into a pool of water, going underneath waterfalls and of course walking six miles up and downstream in a small river. I NEEDED sandals for this trip. Your sandals were at the lowest price I had ever seen and in the color that I wanted. They were comfortable, incredibly lite while hiking so many miles and super durable. I am going to wear them on all my camping trips from now on unless there is snow. Thank y

"Best thing that will ever grace your foot...Period."

Honestly, the best thing I've put on my foot since i grew out of my TMNT shoes when I was 5! I never wear anything but my chacos, whether they be my many pairs of z/2's, my zongs, or my new zx/2's... They're all amazing. Great for anywhere and any situation, except maybe walking on lava, you'd probably have to get with the people on chaco about that one, but other than that, they're amazing. I never put anything else on my foot, whether im going kayaking, climbing ok, i do put on my climbing shoes while i'm climbing, or going to a wedding. They're great for hardcore use, or just casual wear and they last for-e-ver. Buy them...NOW.

I had a pair of old Z/2 Colorados and wore them until the sole split (3 years). The ZX/2 Unaweep is a big improvement from previous models and the dual straps look great once on your feet. The dual straps are more comfortable as well. I love the toe loop before and still do, as it keeps the foot in place much better. It just takes some adjusting to get the feel on the toe right. I wear them fairly loose until I need them to be more secure.

"Worth the money spent."

Third pair of Chaco's, love them just as much as my other two. I had slight misgivings in having the two slender straps instead of just one big one, but they don't slip or anything like that. In fact, they leave a much cooler tan-line if tan-lines are considered cool where you're from. Only bad thing is that sometimes my feet stink after wearing, but that is probably more just because I have stinky feet and nothing about Chaco's brand of footwear.

Great sandal. The fit of this shoe is true to width and the arch support is unbelievable. The multiple straps take a bit of getting used to, but once you have them adjusted to your feet, you are pretty much set, with some minor adjustments here and there. Chaco’s are hands down the best sandals for the money. I have worn Chaco for the last 6 years and this is my second pair.

I've heard that Chacos were awesome and now I know for myself. I love this model because you can basically form the straps just to fit your feet. Completely customized! Took these with me on a camping trip to break them in and they faired quite well in and out of the water. I look forward to having these sandals for a very long time!
