My last bike was stolen with the hitch so I needed to find a replacement. As far as price goes this was comparable or better than other sites. It was more cost effective to buy 2 than 1 as far as the shipping goes but they still shipped seperately. Not sure how that worked out. My wife and I now have one on each of our bikes and we use our chariot several times a week for the past three years. Solid system that I would recommend. As far as the little hitch goes, not much to say about it other than it does what it should and has never broken.
I got sick of moving the one that comes with the Chariot from my bike to wife's bike and back all the time. Now we can hitch up any time.
It was pretty embarrassing moving the original one to her bike and then a few days later going on a ride together, but feeling too lazy to move it back to mine. "Hey, look at that jerk. He makes his wife pull the Chariot (with two kids!) behind her bike." No more!
I didn't really have a need for the skewer so it would be nice if Chariot gave you the option to buy just the hitch without the skewer to save some money. The system works great though.
Works great, now we have 2 bikes that we can hook up in seconds. woowowo
This little metal bracket is like so many items you can find in a hardware store for $3-$5. Thanks to yuppies towing their brats around on $1800 bikes towing $500 trailers you can have it for the low low bend over price of $30. No thanks. I got my trailer used in perfect condition for little more than they are asking for the hitch that they manufactured for 35 cents.
