| A Trek rep told me this would work for my Transit since they no longer make replacement hitches for it. It is exactly the same as what it came with and works out perfectly. We wanted an extra one to put on an alternate bike. | |

Works but could be cheaper

I didn't really have a need for the skewer so it would be nice if Chariot gave you the option to buy just the hitch without the skewer to save some money. The system works great though.

This little metal bracket is like so many items you can find in a hardware store for $3-$5. Thanks to yuppies towing their brats around on $1800 bikes towing $500 trailers you can have it for the low low bend over price of $30. No thanks. I got my trailer used in perfect condition for little more than they are asking for the hitch that they manufactured for 35 cents.
