Chrome Bags is well known for creating messenger-style bags that can carry the kitchen sink, literally —plus a six pack for after your day's work is done, shoes, your wallet and a few random items with room to spare. And though those bags have their place, you don't always need thousands and thousands of cubic inches of stuff on your back. Chrome downsized its Barrage Backpack to create a signature waterproof and lifetime warrantied bag in an adjustable size that fits comfortably on your back.
Staying true to its lauded waterproof construction, Chrome constructed the Barrage with two separate layers. The first is a fully seam-welded waterproof liner made from a 600 denier truck tarpulin. This liner is designed as in insert inside of the bag and resembles a bucket. The outer layer is Cordura's 1000 Denier Nylon shell fabric. Together the two layers create a completely waterproof backpack.
To keep the pack close to your back, especially when the load is small, compression straps were added on the sides. The interior expands from 22 liters to 34 liters. For additional storage, the Barrage features a webbed cargo net on the front. Two internal pockets separate wet and dry cargo, and two side exterior pockets house your water bottle or u-lock. Finishing the Barrage is a rolled top which secures with a hook and loop closure.
Ergonomic shoulder straps with underarm industrial metal cam locks and an EVA foam back panel ensure a comfortable fit, and a sternum strap keeps the backpack from sliding around while you ride.
The Chrome Bag Barrage Backpack measures 20 x 11.5 x 5.5in and comes in Graphite/black, Graphite/alpine, Graphite/crimson, Moto, Olive digi cami, and Ranger/black. As with all Chrome bags, it is unconditionally guaranteed, for life.
