Nice little rod

bought this rod for catching trout in central colorado and I can say it's well worth thr 20 bucks. sure you could probably get some fancier gear but lets face it the reel is pretty good and the drag is fairly smooth and the rod is plenty to handle a 3- 4lb trout through the ice. and I've put through the test having fished 2-3 days a week for a month and a half. I'm gonna get another one for sure.

no complaints

I got the 25 inch ML to use on panfish and it has performed flawlessly. Nice sensitive tip to feel bites, plus enough backbone to handle larger fish. I have even reeled up several pike with this rod without any issues. The pre-spooled line is very tough and the reel is also good

Nice combo

Worked very nice but plan on replacing the string that came on it. Otherwise real smooth

Dave Genz Ice Buster Combo

Got this to keep in my truck to use on Streams while passing by. The 24" rod is actually pretty good. The reel is very low quality, not smooth at all, seems to be binding. The line is brittle. Replaced the reel with a Shimano 500 & Trilene 6lb. XT. Just buy the rod separate or select a different brand. The upgrade cost me the same as the combo did
