We may be a little biased when asked where the best mountain biking in the US is. After all, Park City boasts over 350 miles of single track. That said, though, we'll still willingly admit that Sun Valley, Idaho's mountain bike scene kills it. Club Ride Apparel was born in Sun Valley in 2008 when founder Mike Herlinger asked the question, "Wouldn't it be cool if I could just ride in my vintage western shirt?" From there it's grown on the conviction that cycling apparel needs to be both technical and stylish. Of course, its Rale Denim Pants are no exception to that philosophy.
The Rale denim pants are constructed from Club Ride's Stretch 9 fabric. Basically, this material is comparable to a breathable softshell. Unlike traditional denim, Stretch 9 is flexible in all of the right places in order to make riding a breeze. Additionally, because you'll sweat when you ride, the material wicks moisture away from your skin to keep you dry. Although these are perfectly designed to ride your bike in, the durable, wicking fabric makes them even more suited to wear daily. In fact, the very words, "wear daily," are stitched into every pair of pants.
The Rale denim pants are cut to fit a cyclist's build, which is often slimmer and leaner than mass market sizing acknowledges. They feature a "NoCrackBack," where the rear waist is extended upward for both coverage and to prevent you being mistaken for the low-riding teenage crowd. An internal waistband adjustment also assists in customizing the fit. The gusseted crotch minimizes chafing from seams, while also resisting saddle wear.
Because Club Ride knows that you'll most likely wear these as much on the roads as the trails, Reflective accents are added to the side pockets, belt loops, and on the inside the drive-side pant leg (for when they are rolled up). They feature traditional five-pocket jeans styling with an added zippered side pocket for security.
The Club Ride Rale Denim Pants are available in the color Raven and in five sizes from X-Small to X-Large. Please note that these pants do not include a chamois.
