Positive Reviews:

I wear this hat all the time, walking the dog, riding my board, riding my board with my dog, around the house, sitting on my couch, blah blah blah. Its awesome, fits great and the color (Lime Green) matches the web image.
It's so gangsta it doesn't matter that I'm almost 40 going on 14. I'm going to buy another one if I lose it or my wife takes it away from me.
Update: My wife actually asked for one for Christmas to which I promptly obliged. Go for it! Just don't put it in the dryer after washing or it will shrink.

I bought this after a lot of thought because of being let down by the last beanie I had. It was a Nixon Regain beanie and it stretched out super quick and was not very warm. This one is great so far! I haven't experienced it with snow yet so I'll have to give an update later on but right now I wear it everyday for casual wear. Its nice and warm, thick, but I don't like the sag it gives without cuffing but when I cuff it its great. Probably going to look into getting another one!

If your shredding and you realize that your ears are always so cold then you need this hat. Wearing the Coal Frena is like sticking your head into a pizza oven. This is my go to hat when I'm working at the resort on a Avalanche Control morning when the sun hasn't come up yet and there is 2 feet of fresh on the ground. This hat comes in all the stellar colors you could hope for.

thick, super soft, and well fitting beanie. I've had trouble finding a good beanie for wearing under my helmet when I ski and I think i found one. I like it because it is not too tall and does not stretch out a ton like a lot of beanies do if you wear them under your helmet with goggles. Highly recommended

This is my third Coal Frena Beanie. They are super warm and comfortable. You can wear it with sag in the back or flip up the bottom for different style. I mainly wear mine when I go boarding but this is great for any kind of cold weather activies.

Not much to say about the Coal Frena Beanie except that it is a good beanie, solidly constructed, has not lost its shape after many days of wear, and fits just as well under a helmet as it does walking down the street

Nice thick and firm weave. Super warm without being too hot. Soft and quite comfy. Best beanie I own. The yellow color is pretty sick. Its a bit on the lime green side, which is alright with me. Def buy this beanie!

This is a pretty awesome beanie, works well not only keeping your head warm but also your ears. The only downside is that at full price its a little expensive compared to something like the Carhartt acrylic watch hat (~$8).

Paul R at Backcountry.com on 10/31/2013

Love the bright colors. Super comfortable fit does not ride up too high and get uncomfortable. Have been wearing for about a month and has yet to stretch out too much. I say go for it! You wont regret it.

Ed DiRosa at Backcountry.com on 01/03/2013

This beanie does just what it should! I keeps me head and ears warm, doesn't loose it shape or bag out too much, and I really like the colors too. I couldn't ask for any thing more!

Negative Reviews:

I probably got a dud because the top of my beanie started to unravel before I even made it to the mountain, and I had it for only a couple weeks. Its smaller than what it looks like in the pic, didn't have much slouch at the top and was a little tight. I wear 7 3/4 fitted hats. Probably could have worn it in to fit better if it lasted longer.
But other than that its thick and kept my head warm on the mountain.
