Happy I bought it.......

I bought this for a bareboat sailing trip and used it everyday for over 2 weeks without any problems or tears. It can be dried/aired out quite easily, because it weighs next to nothing and can therefore be "suspended" from almost anything. It is "mostly" a "sack" shape that encloses the legs completely, but with a side opening near the top to allow easier entry than some other brands. It also has a pillow "pocket" area, which worked but would be even better if it were slightly deeper. I would actually give this 4.5 stars, but the scale didn't allow "half stars". I would definitely recommend this product to people looking for an economical, lightweight sleep sack. It was the perfect weight for the tropics, and I intend to use it as a sleeping bag liner in cooler climates to add more warmth to my lightweight bag.

Nice design, but thinner than expected

I bought 3 of these and after unpacking one, decided to return the other two for some cotton versions. I just want sleep sacks for a loft bed to make it easier to change the sheets. I thought the silk would be more like a couple silk blouses I own, but it's more like the silk of a scarf. It looks like it will get twisted up easily and also tear, but I haven't tried the one I kept yet. ...Another reason I returned silk for cotton is that a chart came with the sheet sacks which shows that cotton is actually cooler than silk, and these are for my granddaughters' summer visit. Anyway, they are an innovative product!

Meets expectations

Just as expected. Tried it out in bed and was pleased the pillow pocket with pillow kept the upper part in place instead of sliding around. Would have given 5 stars if the side opening was a little longer and the stuff sack a little larger. Plan to use with my 30 degree bag when backpacking and on trip to Europe. Will use the stuff sack in suitcase and just thinking that if the stuff sack was a little larger, it wouldn't take as long to stuff it every morning.

Good purchase!

I read a lot of reviews and I was so glad I had chosen this product. I used it on a trip to Central America where it was hot...I was in a bunk bed and it was just ideal. I love the feel of the fabric and it kept the slight chill of morning off but was plenty cool enough for the heat. It dried in an instant when I washed it and it is small enough to fit in the compression sak of my sleeping bag...

Worth every penny!

I used this for a month-long European trip that included stays in rented properties. It gave me peace of mind to know there was something between me and the linens provided. This is so light-weight that it was the perfect thing for steamy nights during a heat wave where there was no air-conditioning. An added benefit: it helped lessen my allergies to the ubiquitous feather pillows! It was easy to wash out, even in a hotel sink, and air-dried very quickly.

Silky smooth and strong

I have not had the opportunity to try this in hot weather...but did so in 30 degree cold spell. I was happy to have this silky bag along. The built in pillow pocket is good too. The only draw back I have is that it is difficult to see which is the bottom and which is the top when you set up the first time. Not really a big problem. The bag is very sturdy and stong.

Great for an Unintended Use - Thanks!

After a long, unsuccessful search for a silk body pillow case for my hubby, I found the Cocoon Sleep Sack. I had it altered to fit his body pillow and it works great - he loves it! And the price was right, too.

Luxury & protection

Used for 3 week international travel to work camp and village living where there were no sheets. It turned sleeping in primitive conditions into luxury. Easy to wash and dries quickly. Highly recommend this silk sleep sack, it held up beautifully.

Top notch

Wow! Delivers what they say and more. Extremely comfortable for a bike tour that my wife and I completed as a sheet, by itself and as a sleeping bag liner. High quality, very compact. Excellent product.

Loved this Sleep Sack

This was perfect for my trip to Kenya. Lightweight, compact, very comfortable. I felt cleaner having it against my skin than the dusty surroundings and loved the silk feel.

So this is silk

The cocoon wasn't exactly what I had pictured when I purchased it. From what I remember it is comfortable but I cant really say that it added any warmth to my bag as both nights I used it on a recent river trip it wound up in the bottom of my bag in the middle of the night.
