Coghlans Camp Stove Toaster

I bought this toaster to see if it would be useful for an upcoming fully-loaded bike tour on the US West Coast. It's a little bit larger than I expected it would be, but it works just as expected. I use it over a Trangia alcohol stove with a Clikstand. The holes in the toaster do a wonderful job controlling the flame and getting it close to the toast without scorching it. I even found that I can use the square at the top of the toaster to rest my pan and make scrambled eggs in the time it takes to make toast. Great for conserving fuel and getting hot toast with your scrambled eggs.

This is a solid toaster for people that like toast when they are out camping. You can place 1-4 slices of bread on the prefabricated slot, and then place right on a burner. The heat is evenly distributed to make a nice crisp piece of toast. You like your toast burnt?- just leave it on longer. I like to wipe mine down after each use to avoid the black carbon buildup. Do this and you will have it for years.

This is cheap, simple, and easy to use. We use it to make toast on our Coleman stove. You have to watch it - it doesn't pop up when the toast is ready, but it is camping. The only drawback is that the base does rust but the wires are coated and do not rust. We have replaced it several times but it only costs [$].

I have one of these that is over 30 years old and still hanging in there. OCCASIONALLY the wires pop out but they can be easily popped back in. The wires can also be tucked under one another to keep it folded up.As far as rusting, it doesn't matter. As far as cleaning......who worries about that? It's a [*] camping toaster!

This is a great idea for a family camping trip. When using my coleman stove this bad boy is there. If backpacking I minimize you load and the toaster stays home but if the family is there... Anyways it works great flip once and watch the nice golden brown color. Yum

This easily makes great toast and Poptarts (our child needed 1 comfort food!). We flipped the toast once and they came out perfect, depending on the individual's preference for toast. It's also not too hot to retrieve the toast/Poptart using your fingers, as long as you don't touch any metal.

I like the fact that this toaster fits well into my pack, is lightweight, and makes four slices at a time. I have only tried it out at home so far, but can't wait to take it on the trail.

I bought this because of my memories of using one camper camping in the Adirondacks growing up. Having recently purchased my own camper this was a necessity to give my children some of my childhood memories of camping.

This is our third, now have one in the river commissary, new one for our popup trailer. Easy to use, toast, bagels, buns.

This is THE accessory for camp breakfasts! Works best with a large camp stove with good heat control. For camping, it's the best!
